The only way that the zoomers will make societal change is if all the boomers die out before the zoomers graduate from college and have to start making a living for themselves. Once that happens, it's only a few years before they become anxious and depressed, like the millennials, or nihilistic and detached, like the gen xers. Every generation gradually shifts to looking out for number one and coping with the disillusionment somehow. (When the boomers reached the same age they became greedy and murderous, but I think that was fairly unique to the aforementioned lead exposure)
