What's with the music

Idk I personally find the music to be strange when there’s this much running commentary, maybe if it was totally quiet

Also the game crashed to punish him for not mentioning what the ycs/186 references

Probably this, and I think it is kinda trivial to make custom stations via mods that you could do to prevent DMCA of the other pre-recorded stuff

You could yeah, guess they thought this was better than silence though. Not sure why, probably just the runner's preference though.

probably a combination of it being eerie with just the dude talking and the wind rustling, and also that the excessive amount of save/loading and reload dashing would sound weird without a soundtrack to help even it out

Counterpoint, the music mix makes this speedrun more chill, which helps keep Bethesda games watchable for us non-Bethesda fans.

It's been turned off because of the risk of DMCA. Inon Zurs environmental OST is still being played, if you listen carefully.

They had video game remixes of random songs playing over the run originally. Now they switched to total silence because people didn't like it.

I get why they removed the radio songs but I don't get why they didn't just let the environmental tracks of the game play.

They had some chill OC remixes playing quietly during GeoGuessr and that one fit the run well.

What's wrong with the OCRmixes in the background? They've done that for plenty other runs.

My guess is that they don't want the Inon Zur tracks playing because they'd constantly start playing again and again, because of all the saving and loading.

If you like to listen to music in the background then you can open a separate tab with a YouTube window that is playing video game remix music

Otoh once the staff decides to play an upbeat undertale song during fallout new Vegas it’s baked into vods and can never be removed

So that’s probably a good decision

It was much funnier like that than if he'd use the original name.

And yeah that run was great, the Youtube algorithm offers it for me quite often which tells me I've watched it quite often. Almost as often as PJ's classic Lagoon run and Romscout's blind SOTN.

They did it twice before. It's doable. If they can meet Deltarune and maybe the 75K Tetris incentive, then Twitch subs will probably take it over the line.
