how much computer use is "excessive" computer use i'm a programmer as a job and as a hobby so i would say i'm touching a computer most of my waking hours

The reason I liked them as a kid was they were generally hardback and would have thicker paper (to emulate old timey diaries maybe?) and would have a ribbon to keep track of where you were. I also recall them being pretty melodramatic and no big overarching plots since each book was a one and done. So odd to me that someone who is a self professed lover of reading would be such a stickler for the genre.
