I do wonder what most goons do that gets them into so much trouble with geese i've never had problems with them and i think most non-goons just hate all the goose poo poo rather than the constant fear of being attacked

Geese are fabulous parents. They're very protective of their children. Occasionally what looks like a good place to nest is inconvenient for us, and they're willing to fight over it, but a lot of people just will not compromise and go around, or not run directly into a bunch of goslings, because they can't conceive of letting an animal have its own personal space unimpeded. And we turn this into "geese are vicious and evil" rather than "geese are devoted to their goslings and willing to fight much larger animals to protect them," because we are so goddamn self-centered that we can't see this as anything but a personal attack on us. By a goose.

This results in them getting a reputation of "loud, mean assholes who poo poo everywhere". Also, like Al Queda, they once crashed a plane in NYC.

There were retention ponds next to where I used to work where geese and ducks would nest and hang out and eating there on my lunch breaks was the best part of my day. I don't know why but so many people believe the thing about how a goose can "totally break your arm" and were scared of them for that reason. I've wrestled many a goose and the worst they can do is pinch and twist.

lol I got to the video and it's like a 2 out of 10 on the angry goose scale. Every time she moves the blanket goose is all "please let me pass by". It's not even a Canada variant which automatically starts at 4 most of the time.

From some of her other stories, she’s not been great at animals that haven’t evolved similar social cues as humans. I thought it just looked curious. Like, it may have thought she was playing peekaboo. A lot of species seem to understand that game. It’s still a pretty funny story.
