All of my grandmothers recipes used measurements based on what she used in the kitchen, so ‘one cup’ meant specifically ‘fill that one particular ceramic mug one time.’

My parents moved her into a care facility and moved into the old family farm, and I’m pretty sure it was just so that they could take possession of That Specific Mug.

They massively overpaid on a copy of the book that was being auctioned off. Because they somehow thought that this was the only copy of the book in existence, and that buying it would somehow give them ownership of Dune's intellectual property rights.

This wasn't just people trying to NFT grift, they are dumb on a level beyond the NFT usual.
