Also today I mentioned the oral treatment so no needles - and he flipped out. Hiis initial excuse for not getting vaxxed was 'scared of needles'.

I got the rona on the same day i was ment to get my booster shot, but was denied taking time off because we had to 'keep the doors open' (so boss traded 4 hours off work for 7 days.) And it was about 30 mins in a lunch room that the positive person walked through maybe twice. Boss also didnt tell anyone for 3 days that a staff member was sick (they knew once the + person applied for leave), and we work with the public, so everyday you get 10+ pings if you signed in. About a day after you test positive NSW health is already sending you your ' get back to work' papers regardless of if you are still positive after 7 days. There have been poo poo governments in the past, but holy gently caress is this a new level of fuckery Mr McGowan, if your a goon and reading. gently caress opening the boarder. With no federal support you cant do it.

well why not posted:how on earth is "afraid of needles" not an entirely embarassing lie? I had a blood draw when I was 17 in which the nurse missed my vein and just kept going despite me telling her that I thought something was going wrong because it really hurt. I ended up with a bruise that went from my wrist to my shoulder and I'm legit afraid of needles. I can't look at them without feeling like I'm gonna puke. So for me it's an embarrassing truth, I'm still vaccinated though.

There's an amazing video I can't find of some legend in a mass vaccination clinic absolutely freaking the gently caress out about the needle, with the very patient nurse waiting to inject, but still gets it. Ends with about 100+ people cheering him in his seat. Best mates brother straight up passes out at the sight of needles, but still got his shot at his GP and collapsed in his chair for 5. Shout out to both of them, and anyone else that's petrified of needles but still got the boost. People are just cunts that'll use any excuse not to get it. By the sounds of it they not only hosed up with the needle, they hosed up by not getting you on anti-clotting meds. Jfc. Good job getting vaccinated! I know a couple of people who are afraid of needles, not the type of people you'd expect to be afraid of anything. They all got vaccinated though. loving good on you.

Thanks, that's kind of you to say I go ok with intramuscular ones, over the years I've managed to isolate my freaking out to just the ones where they need to go into veins. And I'm fine with tattoos, they're nothing like getting a needle imo Don't know about it being a clot? I smoked and was on the pill at the time so I guess it's possible! Whatever happened though that nurse was awful.

well why not posted:how on earth is "afraid of needles" not an entirely embarassing lie? So for me it's an embarrassing truth, I'm still vaccinated though. I have a problem with needles too. For vaccinations I just roll up my sleeve and keep my eyes closed so I never see it, and it's over so fast that it's ok. But when they have to hit a vein? It's dicey every time. I've had 2 blood tests in the last 18 months and both times I was lying down comfortably, had a nice air con breeze on me and a wet towel. Still immediately felt violently nauseous as soon as they stuck me even though they got me first try. 3rd stick was a month ago when I went in for a scan and they wanted to do an iodine contrast. Had me blindfolded like a horse, but nope no good. As soon as they stuck me, the monkey part of the brain took over and decided I was dying and they had to stop. The nurse noted how I instantly went super pale in the face. Last week I went in for dental surgery again. Due to a miscommunication I only discovered on the day that they weren't going to gas me before sticking me. They ran the IV into the back of my hand instead of the crook of my arm and did it quickly so I was ok. I'm reasonably certain if they'd tried my arm they wouldn't have been so lucky. Long story short; brains are weird and phobias don't make sense.

Over the last few years I've had multiple penicillin shots in the buttcheek, B12 injections, blood draws for tests, a loving abscess in my tonsils drained with a huge needle, IVs for various procedures and regular blood donations, I never minded needles that much but now it's routine. Never want another peritonsillar abscess drained again though, huge thick needle halfway down your throat, they don't knock you out, just give you some pissweak numbing gel. And they go back multiple times if they don't get it all so you know what's coming the second time

I've had probably a billion blood tests and needles while on this last epilepsy blood trial. Needles are just...not a thing. Yet even the thought of being within 100 metres of a wasp's stinger - I can feel my eyes bulge looking for it, my blood pump so much faster, the taste of adrenaline, and the cold hand of Death wrap around my heart; all the while fighting every instinct to run the gently caress away screaming like a little girl. I guess...size matters?

I'm probably a bit biased wrt needles because as a teenager I was on a fairly heavy dose of Roaccutane which meant I had to have regular blood tests (monthly) for about 2 years and had a problem with ingrown toenails for a while so was getting regular surgeries done How bad are the new glasses Lolie?

I had to get my most recent glasses remade as they didn't add in my specific pupillary distance and ocular height, which meant where the lense focused didn't align with my eyes. Hurt like hell trying to see through them

Nurse got the wrong angle and loving started twisting the needle to get it right. unbelievably painful as I felt the fucker rip through. I'm fine with needles but was barely holding on. Once they decided they got it right they asked if I drinking enough water because it was only a trickle coming through. I drink like 4 litres of water a day lady you just hosed up Admittedly I did go just before closing so they were probably tired after a long day, but even then!
