I think Square Enix published it, but I agree, more of that please!

The list of IP that Activision Blizzard owns that Microsoft will now own included True Crime. Didn't Sleeping Dogs start out as a True Crime game?

Dogs are their own owners. They just chose to be friends with people, because they're good friendly doggos. :colbert:

Finished Max Payne 2.

Max Payne 3, without having even replayed it yet, is better than the other two basically by default at this point. The entire middle act of Max Payne 2 is an unfinished construction site that consists of two themes and each one repeats its layout constantly. This is without touching on the fact, and the game points this out, you do two levels in the same place, except you also do two other levels in the same place and then, to really gently caress with your head, you do three levels in the same place. The standout levels I remember as it turns out are very, very small parts of the game and coincidentally some of the only not reused areas.

I think I like what Extraction is doing. Grouping up with pubbies is very hit or miss and early on it's mostly miss and terrible, but I've had some pretty frantic, exciting, and fun moments so far. Losing operators gives it some stakes but isn't too punishing if you fail to get them back, and after a while you get them back anyway.

Yeah feel exactly the same. I’m nearly finished it and it’s ridiculous how little actual gameplay is in there.

I almost forgot that all of the Sierra ip's such as King's Quest, Space Quest, Larry, etc... were also in the hands of Activision. I trust MS much more with these than Activision and I'm hoping these series will get some new life one day.

Ideal games for gamepass imo, even if they make them shorter

Theres also two escort missions in the game that are absolutely 0 fun, ad well as multiple "escape while the building explodes" trial and error sequences which is impressive for a game thats maybe 6 hours long.

I mean just chucking those games up, running stably in current windows but basically otherwise as is, would probably get quite a few people subscribing. And yeah to make a good looking modern adventure game could probably done to a high standard with bugger all resources compared to the typical AAA. It would seem stupid to not even make one to just test the waters.

Hell, check which one is having the next significant anniversary, and get a new one out for that to get a bunch of free press.

As someone who's always been lukewarm or neutral towards Tetris, Tetris Effect is a fine game indeed. It's mostly the audio-visual experience that does it for me, I'd still not care much for the game concept without these excellent effects.

First episode of King's Quest is free on Xbox. It does the typical Telltale thing if you like that style. It's pretty good! And it's narrated by none other than Christopher Lloyd!

Is there some graphics setting or something I am missing with Moonglow Bay to stop all the screen tearing? I played it for an hour on my phone via xcloud and it seemed fun, so I installed in on XSX and it runs like complete poo poo. Worse than any game I have ever played on that system even though its just a voxel graphics game.

Doesn't that King's Quest reboot only exist because the developer embezzled money from the Homestuck game they were contracted to do?

Also it was really funny how blalantly they only gave Ken and Roberta Williams that lifetime achievement award at the VGAs that year to advertise the new game. I don't think they've given one of those awards before or since.

I don't think Activision owns Leisure Suit Larry anymore. They may still have publishing rights to the older games but I at some point Codemasters got the IP. I think it's now in the hands of German publisher Assembler Entertainment, who have released a few new games and a remake.
