hmmm. this could make me interested in star wars again. maybe go the route of fast and furious and just lean into the force where everyone is an invincible huge muscle beef monster flying modded xwings into poo poo and fighting with giant lightsabers and saying catch phrases after every kill. also every character is wearing a greasy tanktop regardless of gender and they can breath in the vacuum of space

even as a kid I understood that the Prequels were basically The End of Star Wars

ha ha alright well that was fun but it's time to pack it in folks

how did anyone make it through the prequels with some sorta rabid fandom intact

the last three movies would have been better for me if they'd been more of the same (the Prequels)

like just a big stupid unrestrained messy explosion of dumbass ideas

and like I guess to some extent they were that but for some reason I got much more of a joyless, shambling corpse in a Star Wars suit feel off of them

depressing, not even fun to talk about because they're the kind of 'bad' that just sorta slides off your brain

Star Wars definitely lacks beefcake and bikini models. I think we can all agree this would immediately improve the franchise.

What happened to the movie that was gonna be "Top Gun but X-wings"? Perfect opportunity to add some T&A to Star Wars.

It has been delayed and taken off the production schedule due to other commitments Patty Jenkins has. I suspect it will never be made.

Is there even a Star Wars movie in the works/planned? All I remember is the Top Gun in Space (more like cancelled lmao) and Obi Wan which are both TV shows.

I guess Disney was like bruh we built all these sets, costumes and now that lured in nerds with Mando we can just shoot the same show over and over again in Tatooine and let the SW movies die in a ditch.

People will evidently pay 8 dollars/mo to feed from the tatooine content tube, it is simply a superior business model to selling a 15 dollar movie ticket 0.5x/yr

They spent 4 billion though just on the rights. I'm not saying they won't but the cost of production isn't even covered unless merch did REALLY well.

It's complicated because you have to factor in that the disney wars execs are both incredibly lazy and sensitive to losing face. Torn between their competing instincts to just let robert rodriguez make the slop and to prove the haters wrong, I suppose more movies are inevitable, but I could certainly see the current tapering off continuing
