Who What Now posted:Trixie Slaughteraxe is the pinnacle of Thorsby Just opened this and it doesn't make my eyes hurt like HfD. Maybe it's because the comics or shorter? Or is the art just better?

Hitmen was Thorsby's first comic and Trixie Slaughteraxe was his fourth, so probably just art improvements.

Hitmen is still my favorite probably mostly riding on the strength of horrible rascals Fusk, Vorte, and Jymre, but yes Trixie is also great and better looking (although I mean it's still in the same style I don't think it would dramatically change the mind of anyone who hates his art).

The backgrounds in Trixie are a lot less garish. That might make the difference for some people.

Trixie's colour palette is waaaaaay less oversaturated. Hell, the main character isn't even bright yellow, bright pink, and bright green all at once.

The style is clearer and the plot is much better. I do concur, but I think the art style in Spores did work for the little snippets of Xadhoom's space adventures.
