the best thing about poker in movies is that the plot always turns around one player having an incredibly obvious "tell" that no one has ever noticed in all the time that this person has been playing super high level poker. john malkovich in rounders with his oreos is a perfect example i get why they do it - its so theres something obvious enough in the movie that everyone in the audience will understand what is happening, the same way every car/race chase scene in a movie is decided by showing someone stomping on the gas pedal extra hard and pulling away - but its still funny

i put on atomic blonde back when it came out on streaming but i dont remember finishing it. i remember being annoyed by the lazy setting. it felt very cheap, like filmed in an american backlot cheap not filmed in eastern europe cheap idk if thats true, but it just felt that way

bond feels a bit tapped out at this point, if you diverge too much it's not really a bond film, but what more is there to say? id love more spy films like tinker tailor or the lives of others. smoke filled rooms, lots of brown furniture, exactly 2 gunshots
