Xenology is an unnatural mixture of science fiction and formal logic. At its core is a flawed assumption...

that an alien race would be psychologically human.

You'll have to come back to one of Gobi Valley or Freezeezy Peak for a later jiggy depending on which one you do first, though. The way you did it lets you beat Boggy first try and not have to come back, but you do have to go back to Gobi Valley later for the one Jiggy that requires the dive bomb.

Yeah it came out during the era where 3D camera control was just something game developers hadn't quite gotten a handle on yet. I feel like it's at least about the same as Mario 64's camera though.

Yeah after bouncing between the two levels a bit and dying once from falling off the snowman... I remembered the way kid me used to do it. Run into Gobi's Valley, make a b-line for Bottles to unlock the running shoes, gtfo, then do Freezeezy Peak. Kid me was smarter.

And I had to Google where the stupid Blue Jinjo was. I walked right past it, then got distracted and forgot.

Kid me 100%ed this game.

The Tetris 99 theme for the current event is somehow worse than every other theme released so far. It actively impedes my ability to play well because everything just mushes together into a lovely Pokémon cartoon. Give me back my Game Boy theme already!

Did they discontinue the lites? My wife wants to buy herself one for her birthday.

They don't seem to be avaliable anywhere anymore. She's not interested in an OLED model, which is too bad because I love mine.

I bought one last week, 2 day shipped from Best Buy. I was only ever able to find one in Coral, though.

Banjo music is okay. Also it's insanely stupid to compare music between two different franchises by two different composers as some sort of indication of declining quality.

they're are the same devs. it's not like I picked two completely random games. they did change composers between the two which tbh was a huge mistake. I would have picked another kirkhope game but idk if I've played any others.

two games having the same developers doesnt mean the same team of people worked on both! idk how big rare was in the 90s but it seems likely the dkc people werent the same as the kazzoie people. and theres a million different reasons why they changed compsers, its possible they couldnt get the same guy bc he just didnt feel like it ya know

diddy kong racing came out the year before banjo and was composed by David Wise, and the music in that game doesnt sound like DKC music either because different games can be going for different vibes with their music, that’s allowed

idgi were you playing a game called “banjo” and not expecting banjos or something

it’s upbeat and catchy, what’s the problem. dkc had plenty of upbeat and fun music too, it wasn’t just aquatic ambience and stickerbrush symphony

David Wise, as I understand it, was a musical genius when given any amount of input or direction, but when given free reign, just makes really forgettable stuff.

It is also my understanding that he was eating literally sheets of acid when working on DKC1 and DKC2 and for DKC3 Nintendo intervened and were like “this isn’t a night club” and you can really feel the missing drug influence in the 3rd game’s music.

these bugs bunny cartoons are okay but they'd be better if it was all music by babymetal, a japanese idol-led kawaii metal band which combines elements of j-pop and heavy metal. writes the daily dot: "for those of us whose musical tastes fall somewhere in the middle, Babymetal is kind of like a magical, leather-clad, fire-breathing, sonic unicorn."
