The Moon Monster posted:This is what a local place gives you when you select "deep dish" which I'm almost certain is incorrect but it's still really good. My impression is it's technically correct, in that Detroit-style is a type of deep dish, but calling it that, or something more descriptive, might cause less confusion, since I think most people associate Chicago-style with deep dish. But idk, not an expert.

It's def not MY thing but for some weird reason I can actually see this being A thing. Especially if you were introduced to this as a kid and told 'this is good actually'. I can't place my finger on why or how, really. Like, leftover cold pizza / more of an open face sandwich than pizza type thing I honestly can't say. I also CAN say I wouldn't and would roll my eyes if someone tried to take me there.

I mean I'd definitely eat it. Lord knows I love me some cold cheese by the handful while standing at the refrigerator in the dark kitchen.

I mean if you watch the video even the owners don't know other than "That's the way they always did it and the customers seem to love it so we keep doing it for them" Which, I mean if you have a customer base who says "Hell yeah we like it that way keep doing that", seems like a fairly solid business model imo.
