Wait, hold on. Consuming beer gives a mood penalty because it doesn't have human meat in it? What the gently caress? Its not food! The same thing happens if I have them drink mead! This penalty doesn't apply when taking drugs like joints and cigs, so why is the game considering it a food to consume alcohol?

So I have cannibal vikings who get pissed off when they drink mead

That's probably because beer actually does provide pawns with some amount of nutrition.

It also provides nutrition to animals, so if you leave some beer out in a desert/frozen wilderness where there isn't any food you can get the animals to come over and drink themselves unconcious. If you've got enough you can down a thrumbo.

Oh hey these guys again, but this time there is far, far more.

I attempt to set up a little wall here while the bugs come on in...

The problem though is that they keep running past everyone to go off to loving Narnia or wherever the hell they all wanna gently caress off too. Maybe to attack an animal instead?

Seriously, where the gently caress are these 2 going? I had to have King throw a tomahawk to slow one down enough for them to catch up.

Oh my god stop running all over the place

And then you get these assholes down south who decide to attack Silent and then start destroying the radar and watch tower :argh:

After wiping the bugs I get Calamitous over here to go through the tedious process of destroying each hive. More black insect jelly that our colonists wont eat as jelly occupies the meat spot in meal. Actually someone did make a stir fry that had both insect jelly AND human meat, and I wish there was a way to make this happen intentionally. I'm assuming there wasn't enough human meat to be make a full meal so they filled up the remaining nutrition with jelly

Whoa, I can't believe Gaston would be willing to settle down!

And look at that! Binia is finally pulling a profit! Now that it can actually survive being attacked its back to 100% prosperity. I've been throwing all my silver into town upgrades for all my settlements, so far I haven't had raids hit the double digits so pretty much every place can resist an attack when I send any other army to help reinforce it.

One of the buildings I have here is an apartment complex which costs 5k upfront and has a 500 silver upkeep, but it gives a whopping +8 workers, thats nearly 3 town upgrade's worth of labor. Then I got a building that increases animal income by 25% and a medicine farm to get more medication from here. I researched medicine making so I can now tithe proper medicine from here

Every other settlement is drowning me in silver. I can get nearly 20 grand every 5 days now, and I'm throwing that money right on back into upgrading every settlement. I want to increase their military score so I can do more raids to get more prisoners for food.

Our prisoner has now been recruited as a proper colonist, meet Drakenel! Not a lot in the skills department as they aren't old enough to have an "adulthood" despite being 18, but that double passion melee and brawler trait? I hook them up with a spare crypto axe.

Some guests were visiting so I didn't have any free beds, so they also get this room on the west side with a fur bed made out of night leather, courtesy of the nightlings that didn't rot. Night leather isn't that shabby for armor, but all those black insects attacked and now I got a bunch of black insect chitin laying around which lets me get kickin' rad black coats and it provides more protection.

In fact, with all this chitin I can make enough coats for everyone else that isn't already wearing crypto armor or a thrumbo coat.

Alright, time to talk about something I've ignored till now. Anima trees. There is 1 per map and pawns with tribal backgrounds can meditate to them to get psylinks. Anyone can meditate at an anima tree though and it'll grow anima grass around it. Now the tree needs to be away from structures or it'll lose effectiveness, and yeah I'm not gonna bother keeping an area around it clear

This is the range it requires to be free. Now if I wanted to use this I could chop the tree down. This will cause a "psychic scream" which gives a mood penalty to the entire colony for a few days. The tree will then regrow somewhere else on the map away from structures.

Ooh, time for the second relic. A dane axe made out of demonscales :sickos: While the blood idol is just for looks, any weapon that is a relic will be a legendary tier weapon. I can look at the stats of the weapon by clicking on it in the reward window and see that it'll have 17.43 damage with 65% penetration. That would be quite a mighty weapon to be held by KingDoom...

Also I think I failed to mention this, but by having a reliquary in the altar room there is a +2 mood bonus whenever any ritual happens. So even if a boring festival happens we'll still come out +1 mood just because the idol was there. And the mood lasts for a few days as well!

Here is something I've been ignoring for a while, and there is a reason for this. I'm changing Slaan to be our sharpshooting specialist, this will give them an increase to shooting stats and will give them a command that will buff the shooting of nearby pawns. In exchange for this though Slaan will no longer do certain jobs, like planting, cooking, crafting, mining and construction. Thats fine, Slaan is the doctor and researcher.

Now there is still the melee specialist, which I want to make Chaos. The problem is that again, there is the refusal of jobs and Chaos is the best cook in the colony, not to mention with as many people are currently in the colony I need multiple chefs to keep up with consumption. So I'm still thinking this over, either I'll make someone else the specialist or I need to find another proper colonist that can cook. The reason I'm looking for a colonist and not a new slave is that its a forgone conclusion that slaves will rebel and I do not want to risk a food shortage while all the slaves are sleeping off their bruises.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

YOU rear end in a top hat

I tried to reverse time on the nightling but nothing worked :negative: That bionic spine, pointless :negative:

Another dry thunderstorm. I...really should get around to placing sandstone tiles on the outer perimeter to serve as a fire wall. Thankfully a proper rainy thunderstorm hits and extinguishes everything.

Oh, well then. Mechoid clusters. Have you ever thought "sieges are fun, but what if mechoids did it?" To help in defense several turrets are also dropped in, though everything is currently dormant until I attack things, set off the proximity activator or 24 hours pass for the count down activator. Besides several turrets and an auto mortar there are also several buildings in here.

Zooming on to get a better look at things, there is a mech capsule that will be holding some extra mechs inside as well as 2 mech assemblers that will start assembling more mechs once the cluster is activated.

Then there are the different mechs laying around. On the bottom right is a fireworm that has a flamethrower on it which will be fun. Got a lancer and a pikeman, a few dragoons which have long range weapons, a hoplite which will apparently be good at melee while also having a high damaging ranged weapon, some anklebiters...

The thing is there is walls surrounding the the cluster, I'm thinking of coming in from the top right and taking out those turrets right there ASAP, then the keep to that wall and force the mechs to come to me either through the south or the west, and just move my group around to force the mechs to get closer while staying away from the rest of the turrets. This shouldn't be too bad with as many melee fighters I got, unless there is a bunch of scythers hanging around in the mech capsule.

... but then I saw this. Call me paranoid but I don't think a group of 62 will be friendly.

I'm shocked, shocked I say!

But hrm...

... why the gently caress are you all attacking the hill?

Alright now ya'll are just being assholes. They're just going around breaking poo poo. Where is everyone else at?

:sickos: I brought everyone on the northern side of this cluster and sent NGDB to shoot at a few of the raiders before running over to the cluster and intentionally setting off the proximity sensor.

Splitting the raid up in half quite nicely. I have everyone coming in from the bridge to the north, gonna take a bit though. That chainmail armor is quite heavy.

Alright you loving vandals this is how we do things here :black101:

Annoyingly the raiders promptly turned and started heading towards the colony instead of continuing to fight the mechoids.

Really the annoying thing with tribals, beyond their larger numbers, is that with such large numbers there is a good chance there are various magic classes among them so you keep getting your pawns yanked around like this.

Thats right, flee cowards :zoid: I take a few wandering mechoids and let everyone heal and rest up for the rest of the day. Its fine, the majority of the mechoids are down so who cares if the assemblers make another 2?

Uuuuuhhhhh

Oh god Silentsnack just got blowed up! This thing is a loving rear end in a top hat!

gently caress your technology I got a pointy stick!

Yeah sure why not, have a feast at one of the destroyed houses. Whatever. Pardon me while I go around making sure to unmark tables for gathering spots again.

You see white foxgirls feast like this meanwhile Tuke'vast foxgirls feast like this

This feast is gettin' hot! Unfortunately the artic lion is really not taking the heat well.... so for now I'm tossing it into a cryptosleep casket.

Did I accidentally put on Randy at max difficulty? Heat wave, a bunch of animals getting the flu AND a solar flare? And this would happen *right* when I finally start making soups again.

Got enchanting researched and set up a gemcrafting table so I can start getting a bunch of gems of physical insight. Gonna need a whole lot of magicyte to make these.

SomeoneAwful gets the first gem and becomes a gladiator. This class' abilities are:

Sprint make a pawn move faster but causes exhaustion. On top of needing 30 stamina to maintain it reduces stamina regen by 20%

Fortitude reduces damage by a set amount

Grapple will yank a pawn towards the gladiator and then knocks the target down.

Cleave will attack multiple enemies in front of the gladiator. The heavier the weapon is the more likely it'll happen.

Whirlwind will attack whoever is around the gladiator.

Some beggars stop on by and sure, 4.3k silver? Why not, I'm drowning in cash right now. I got an event that increases food output and now one of the settlements is producing ELEVEN THOUSAND silver. Taxes just happened to get billed and I have nearly 30 grand and nothing to spend it on as every settlement is currently upgrading.

Oh and I built a catapult so I can get the slaves to contribute to fights without having to have them hold a weapon and rebel even faster.

With all this extra income I decide to build a base on near the other side of the world in an extreme desert which gives a bonus to power generation. I'm gonna use this base as a power farm for the colony.

So this popped up and its late at night so I figure eh, I'll let them just walk by. I figured they were just gonna keep the north side of the river.

.... except they decided to walk into the colony, to the anger of the friendly traders who were already hanging around.

Well isn't this just... lovely. BLT wakes up, steps outside and promptly runs back into the house. Oh and these jackasses are destroying the fence :negative: All the animals are fleeing!

To keep the muffalo from running off I get BLT to ride it.

And then drop pods showed up. I'd like to note that the trade caravan had some of Bami's in laws and this raid now has one of her aunts.

How brave of you to come in with so many melee users against a group of vikings! I get SomeoneAwful, Senrath and Cugel to use their movement abilities to leap into the middle and rear of the enemy line while everyone else mulches from the front.

And then you get these assholes all running around the back and... doing something? I have no idea why so many enemies just run around and gently caress around the alleys while I take out the rest of their friends. Especially since they retreat once I take out a good chunk of them.

God, so many bodies and crappy raider loot. I miss Recycle Factory :smith:

Oh god we can be cannibal hipsters now. Spend all day at Rimbucks drinking my "coffee" that is about .01% espresso by volume and a list of 52 other ingredients.

Whoa hey King how are we supposed to improve relations if you're going around beating up the guests!?

The faction upgrades and I pick mercantile, it'll be nice to have a frequent trader stop by to take all this raider crap off my hands. And shortly after one of the settlements hits level 10 which is the highest level possible.

And I think the Empire mod updated, as there is a whole bunch of new buildings I can build. You can build automated defenses which adds 2 to the military and costs 400 per upkeep, an intergalactic market can be built that increases the tithe modifier by +40 and +15% taxes, perpetual motion generator that provides 50% more power production for 400 upkeep, lot of big purchases.

Speaking of big purchases :getin:

Josephine... this is a grand insult, we do not use guns in this colony

Ugh this poo poo again? Before heading out I want to get some more staballoy chainmail and gallatross leather armor made....

:stare:

Calamitous you beautiful creature! I guess as the person who made it you may as well be the one to wear it!

Last LP I had a mod that added all kinds of medications but never showed it off as I was using other things that fixed stuff (that is, I replicated the healing orb and just used it on everything). In front of Gaston is some neoderm, which requires poison ivy to be grown and some neurotomine to make. Note that Gaston has 2 scars. Ignore the malaria. Taking Neoderm will add an effect to a colonist that counts down form 100 and causes pain to the pawn. When the countdown finishes it should heal one of his scars. This requires multiple doses for up to a week. Oh and it wont work for any internal scars.

On the topic of scars, I have a mod that will also make scar injuries cause less pain as time goes on as a pawn learns to deal with the pain, instead of it hurting all the time as if it was new.

Time to take out that smoke spewer. Oh yeah and that last raid? Had quite a few shield belts on them, they'll work out nicely for our warriors.

Wait, they build this over the river? Like on a bridge?

Hrmm...

drat, the walls held up.

Right when I get Slaan to fire a volley the enemy places down a shield and then one of them does that ability that yanks another pawn to them. Why is it always someone with a ranged ability? Yank King over for once :argh:

...Why isn't the smoke spewer in here?

You gotta be loving kidding me. I could've just went up here instead and didn't have to deal with the enemy.

And apparently there is a class that can just give you the plague so NGDBSS now has it. Yeah that isn't a bunch of bullshit!

Oh my god, the leader of the faction was here and not only were they named Loser but their title is the Ethical Cheese? That is just too much. I guess they were cold smoking some provolone here.

I've been slowly replacing wood furniture with ironwood, its more beautiful and its metal as hell. Let's take a look at one of the art pieces on one of the new chairs.

I am not an egghead. I am well-read.
I am honestly amazed you've managed to take out some of the big animals like galatross, they're monsters and they throw explosive fireballs. I've had some of the big animals as tamed creatures in a base before, mainly thrumbo and fenrir; their use is that they're incredibly tanky and can be a really solid front line to absorb damage.

At least those pilgrims gave you something you can use. In my colony that was strictly neolithic-medieval tech level, I kept being given plasmascreen televisions when I didn't even have electricity.

I don't want to know what you're saying is impressive while you're on the john, Gaston.

Also he and Layla are trying to escape again. Probably shouldn't announce your desire for treason while dropping one. Bami didn't join this one, guess she doesn't want to risk it with what happened to one of her aunts and both her in laws. They became dinner.

Oh my god

Good thing I set up a bunch of those other houses with beds.

They're meant for new recruits, like Godna here! Though with that polyamory trait I should throw a multi person bed in there...

Now that I got a new decent cook I can go ahead and make Chaos a melee specialist. But before we do that...

A feast to celebrate the newcomer!

For some reason horses stopped showing up around the colony so I never had the chance to tame some. So I had a settlement send some horses over and they come in already tamed! Just need a few more and I can have enough to get our war parties moving around quicker on the map

Hey you assholes gave me a horse with dementia, how am I supposed to ride this mighty steed into battle :argh:

Ugh, again?

I don't want to deal with this so...

My pc is LOVING this poo poo.

After that mess Dervin finishes off a sculpture, this was the ironwood one from so long ago that took so long to create the inspiration ran out. But then Dervin got another one so I resumed the sculpture and they finished it. This baby has 4,830 beauty and is worth over 4k! It gets put into the feasting hall.

As something very important is going to happen! I sold a slave to the empire and threw some gold at them which was enough to get King higher status!

With that scultpure in the room it is now unbelievably impressive and its wealth is rated at 12.5k. Not only that but anyone inside it gets a +15 mood for being in a gorgeous environment. KingDoom is now a Praetor. There are more clothing expectations that I may or may not be ignoring and they have -12 mood for "Supreme Expectations". They also get a Focus psycast ability that increases the target's sight, hearing and moving for an hour.

Sadly still not a high enough psylink for the regrow body parts :( Also King gets another permit point so I grab aerodrone salvo.

I included this shot cause its so rare for me to see this many pawns eating together :)

Looking over the colony, not bad now. Every house is floored, the majority has had their bathrooms and ceiling fans installed.

The prisoner building is all set up. Since I got a bunch of animal meat laying around I guess I can just keep a pile of pemmican in there to keep them fed.

I've also set up some ballista (made out of ironwood!) along the river, again so slaves can help out in a fight by firing at the enemy. They can fire 20 shots before needing wood to be reloaded, which will be more useful than catapults which only fire once before needing a reload.

Reworked the slave bunk and extended the barn. Got lots of animals, those lambs breed like rabbits. Whats funny though is despite it being the slave bunk, only Bami is sleeping in it so its considered her own room.

I've also plowed some of the soil in the fenced off area, where the hay is growing. Just kinda hard to see thanks to the snow :v:

Dear god spiders that can survive the cold?!

:gonk:

You know whats bullshit? The spiderwebs go through the shields

Lets see how well you survive FIRE

I had a bunch of throwing rocks piling up that I couldn't sell cause no one would take them, so I used the fact factions cannot decline stuff pod dropped and threw them all in there along with a chunk of silver and now they're allied. Those cannibal vikings aint so bad when they're showering you with their own spoils!

So I'm having an issue here: I don't have enough vegetables to make meals. With the smoke and cold snaps happening it severely crippled the crop growing and I'm being stubborn about making a greenhouse. So I'm gonna have BLT here take a chunk of silver and 3 of our finest horses to a nearby settlement. Thanks to winter it would take several days one way to reach the settlement, but horses increase travel speed by 60% (assuming a horse for each pawn and no other animal slowing down the caravan) and they have the same weight capacity as a muffalo.

So the muffalo is redundant but....

Would YOU call this worthless and be up to kill it? I think not.

I think its time to get another slave and I spotted this person in a recent raid. Quick sleeper AND jogger? So they'll be awake more often to do stuff and move around quicker, perfect! Gonna have to convert them first.

Well, I guess I'm good on marble for the forseeable future.... You wanna know how much I now have?

:haw:

Oh god it jumped one of the guests. Godna was nearby and shot it down.

BLT returns with nearly 1.5k apples, hopefully this will last through the winter :v:

Besides that I expanded the kitchen a bit, adding a condiment table so I can turn some of that bee honey into honey syrup. I'll later build a heater in the room because the speed penalty for cold is making it take forever to cook bulk meals. I also built a sushi table in there, you need rice, a meat and a veggie to make a sushi item. They have their own version of simple>fine>lavish>gourmet that regular meals have. Normally you would use fish, this mod is from cooking expanded sushi and it also requires vanilla expanded fishing. In fact some screenshots of the bridges you may notice a light blue overlay in some of the river, thats a fishing spot I put down. But since we only eat human meat and got a bunch of animal meat laying around from getting skins, I don't need any fishers this colony.

So why make it? Because at a butcher table I can make human surimi, which will work out for sushi. I just need to get some rice to make sushi.

And hey hey, look at what a trader had on them? And even better, King now having a rank 4 psylink means they can use it!

Gaston, you've helped heal everyone up, its time to finally take care of that scar in your brain! Gaston will be having psychic reverberations for a day and has 2 "stacks" of psychically induced hunger and exhaustion. This will double his hunger and rest needs.

Their eggs explode into acid? Holy poo poo, thats metal as hell I need to capture one

I set up, with the slaves now using the KICKIN' RAD ballistae! They even do a little explosion when they land.

And let me tell ya, its working out quite well!

Human flesh, apples and honey soup, Yummy!

Wait... wait hold on, whats the last reward?

Holy poo poo

I accept and they drop a bunch of mercenaries who helpfully do some labor. Also weirdly they aren't Hisa, they're regular humans. I recall a mod that makes it so faction guests from custom races are actually a part of that race, but it isn't compatible with a few other mods I got going so...

Oh my god look at these!

And look at these! Guns? In this colony?!

Wow they really do explode! And they're loving up my bridge :negative:

So Senrath now has a kickass sword with 99% penetration....

And I'm gonna get me a badass animal companion!

Now for the other reward, a jetpack. This will allow a pawn to leap a certain distance and it has 5 charges before needing to be refilled with chemfuel. It takes up a utility slot though and I prefer to have shields on my melee users... but Dervin would probably enjoy the mobilitiy.

And it looks like there is a chance to test out this new equipment. I have Senrath, Chaso, Slaan, BLT, Dervin and NGDBSS mount the mighty steeds and ride forth into battle.

Wow Cugel, just gonna give the new slave one of the best beds in the colony huh?

Hrm, 35 eh? There is no real chokepoints around either and they're rushing at me...

Well at least like this they cannot flank me!

And then some of them just run the edge of the map and dip out :psyduck:

A good like 20 still remain though and I have to approach them.

I have Slaan use their specialist ability while repositioning Senrath and Chaos around to catch any who get close. After clearing them out I learn something very interesting as I pack up to leave: These creatures drop human flesh :getin:

Pay AND dinner!

A trader stopped by with a Spellbreaker book so I had Veloxyll read it. This classes abilities are:

Vow of Silence will completely drain their stamina pool and turns off their abilities but greatly increases their resistance to spells and can deflect projectiles. The Spellbreaker will accrue arcane weakness when they use this ability.

Disarming Blow will stun and disarm a target

Cheap Shot will do minor damage, silence the target and cause immense pain to the target. Also the icon is a shoe.

Magebane Tether will pull, silence and stun a target.

Reposition will have the Spellbreaker enter stealth and get a burst of speed

Distracting Daggers will throw a knife at a target, dazing, silencing and inflicting inertia on the target.

Energy Surge will throw a field of energy into an area that can damage or stun targets in the area. Any magic or physical classes will have their mana/stamina drained and take bonus damage from the attack.

Expel Energy will remove arcane weakness in the Spellbreaker and will fully negate the next instance of damage they take. The buff has no timer, it'll last until the Spellbreaker is hit. You cannot stack this buff, however upgrading the skill will give multiple charges.

That AOE ability that drains mana/stamina would be good when the next tribal raid happens and there is I dunno 30 mages hanging around.

Poor BLT, have a house closest to the fridge, having everyone break into your house to use your table.

Godna here made a gunkanmaki now that I got some rice coming in. It gives a whopping +15 mood for 12 hours. And since it had honey syrup in it there is an additional +6 mood.

Sushi made with human meat formed in a way to mimic crab meat, corn, rice and honey. Now besides the gunkanmaki you can also make oshizushi and... I don't know the difference. Both have the same ingredients, both give .70 nutrition, both take the same amount of time to make...

Actually now that I look at it, there seems to be 2 different types of food for each tier of food. Chirashizushi and normiaki are both simple. I guess its just a variety thing. For now what I'm gonna do is have nigiri made, which is a fine quality food, and have that take over stir fries. This is so the stovetop will be free and when someone is taking forever to make a gourmet soup someone else can keep making nigiri (soup is 100 work nigiri is 30),. I COULD make a second stove, but :effort:

I sent king over to... Crapsland? OK, which mod put this in the name generator? What clown did this

Anyways, they have this here book.

Holy poo poo an actual party in the feast hall?!

... You know its poo poo like this that makes me not feel guilty throwing Gaston at problems.

So to keep down all the money I'm getting I decided to throw a bunch of researchers on each settlement and well, I wasn't expecting to get this many points in research.

:getin: I got myself a frost lynx. And I've learned that it actually does have a refrigeration effect near it, the room its in is -65. I guess it will be staying in the fridge.

I got a bunch of street lamps set up around the colony so now its pretty bright at night. Hopefully this will mean there wont be anyone getting pissed off that its dark outside at 3 am and leave the map.

Drakenel becomes a chain warden, whose abilities are:

Chain Strike will throw a chain at a target and then dash towards it, damaging anyone in the way

Chain Dash is basically the above, but you can chain to a plant instead

Chain Climb is above, but now you can do it to a building or terrain

Chain Jail will hit up to 2 targets in a radius and will stun the targets. If a target "is directly hit" they are pulled to the caster. Also this can hit the caster.

Condemn will yank a target towards the caster and stun them

Chain Ward will hit up to 5 targets and will increase those target's defense and can pull them to the caster. Nice AOE defense buff for the shield wall.

Time to put these new classes to the test!

By the way, did you know that you can't take slaves on this quest? Well now you know!

These complexes seem to only be in boreal forests.

Its cruel to taunt me with these destroyed vehicles. I'm surprised there hasn't been a proper vehicle mod made.

This building had no doors leading outside, I think its entrance was generated in the nearby hill. So far nothing exciting happening, but I did find a techprint for "Poison synthesis" which will allow me to build some poison based implants.

King enters a room and immediately the fuel pod starts going off. Well thats rude as heck

Which then sets off the mechoids :negative:

Then you got this goliath mother fucker here with a rapid fire heavy blaster and he shreds through SomeoneAwful's shield.

Annoyingly the mechoids are blocking my melee from running out to help out, but thankfully Dervin can move past them all with Rough Divide. Then its a matter of spamming out abilities to keep the goliath on lockdown until I can get past that mechoid mob.

Son of a bitch, the fuel pod is going to explode and that loving rear end in a top hat is blocking the door so I can't get BLT through.

..... That was it? I wanted to see BLT go out in a blaze of glory :argh:

Now while no one died from the explosions there is another problem with the fire: Its setting rooms to be over 400F. Thankfully temperatures in the Rim can change really quickly, for example punching a hole in the wall will make a room promptly go from 400F to only 30

Though it doesn't help when a fuel pod in the same room of a terminal decides it wants to randomly explode for no loving reason :argh:

God thats gotta suck. You spend over 600 years in a casket and you pop out in a room that is covered in fire and just burn to death.

I mean they were gonna die to some cannibal vikings but I'm sure that death is far quicker.

So I just have everyone sleep in the next room over, can't really do anything until that fire finally dies out. Once it does I hack and get out.

Don't think I really touched up on techprints. So your colonist takes them to the research table and goes through them, after which they get a pay out of intellectual xp (so not a bad idea to have some of your lower intellect pawns use it) and you make progress towards being able to begin research on the tech. The poison synthesis only needed 1 techprint, but the armor techprint I picked up forever ago needed 3.

Well, I COULD research poison synthesis, but first I need to get a techprint for compact weaponry.

Hey the first siege has finally happened! Well I guess that mech cluster was also a siege. How much of a wimp do you have to be to see a colony this wide open and go "you know, I think I'll sit back and pelt them"

Time to finally use a catapult. It uses rock chunks as ammunition, so its a good thing I didn't go too crazy with turning every slate chunk into blocks.

Bwahaha, direct hit!

Nice high explosive shells you got there...

How many of you assholes have rockets?! I've seen more rockets fly off in 10 seconds here than entire games worth of attacks!

Unsurprisngly Chaos is knocked down after eating something like 10 rockets. Vichan also gets knocked down but Gaston was close enough to reverse time on them. Everyone is covered in wounds from all those loving rockets.

Thankfully they all ran off despite there being nearly 40 of them left. Now the real fun part, microing doctors to patch people up and not run off to sleep cause they got a slight bruise. Oh and needing to get Gaston to use spell mend on everyone cause their clothing got shredded to poo poo from 20+ rockets.

But hey, all those explosives certainly helped train up toughness on everyone. Always look at the bright side.

:stare: Well poo poo I wonder why the fight stopped!

I use Senrath's Preach Health ability on Chaos who is absolutely jacked up. They get a +25% bonus to healing for a full day.

Behold the Persona bond forge, this will let me create my own persona weapons. Only certain weapons can be bonded and I'll need to make a bonding core, which is an AI core combined with some luciferium. But oof... that over 3k work amount. Gonna be quite a while to get it fully made...

Slaan is performing the first non animal surgery in the colony, wonder what it is. Also where the hell did you get that low shield pack :psyduck: Its a deployable shield that lets you fire out of it but blocks shots coming inward. No seriously, where did this come from?

Anyways, what is the surgery about?

Holy loving poo poo

Like ok sure, its a shame that is has a useless trait (if I make the bondee hold another weapon they will get a mood penalty) but look at that! Armor is useless against this weapon!

Why did you assholes crash land all the out there :argh:

Actually the question is why wont you move into the colony proper :argh:

Uh... so yeah where are they at? This is the second time now a siege has bugged out and not shown up.

Well... congrats Senrath?

Wow, a second masterwork chainmail suit?

Well.... I guess congrats Senrath?

Just printing the masterworks today, aren't we? Rugs are made at a tailor bench but they require artistry skill to craft. Annoyingly you still need to enable tailoring on a pawn to craft it. This rug has 745 beauty, so now Slaan and Gaston have a very impressive bedroom.

Congrats to these two... though now that I think about it, Gaston and Slaan still haven't properly married.

Oh wow, debris and stray shots come flying in at the colony and some pilgrims decide gently caress that, they're gonna come on over to look at the screaming idol. These pilgrims are hardcore.

Various drop pods land with dead or dying pawns, ship chunks also come flying in. I guess its around now I should mention I do not have Save Our Ship installed. That end game was a little much last LP.

Oh, what is this?

... Thats uh, some interesting art.

Oh.. oh my god. Well this is going to Veloxyll, who had a plasma sword already. God this colony of vikings is gonna be all swords.

Also I found Bud here amongst the bodies. They got flames in both shooting AND melee, also bloodlust. Time to do the three Rs: Resurrect, Restrain and Recruit

Time for a ritual. Oh, does this not look like the usual? Well this is actually to a machine god, part of the rimforge mod. Between 9 pm and 3 am we can sacrifice a prisoner to get the blessings of Zir. This adds a trait that increases several skills relating to crafting: Mechanoid shredding speed and efficiency, construction success chance and speed, general labor speed and smelting speed. The description claims that it allows the bestowed to craft higher quality items, but it doesn't increase crafting efficiency...

To make this shrine you need to research the blessings of Zir, then build a ritual core with copper. Then you need to build 8 copper columns in a certain spot around the ritual core.

While Cugel builds a chair under them, Senrath is mixing gold and plasteel together...

Behold, gilded plasteel. It isn't great as an armor or weapon material, but its good for art and sculptures. While it may not be as beautiful as proper gold it does build faster. But I'm not using it for its artistic use...

One more trip through the forge....

:sickos:

Adamantium. It costs 20 bronze, 30 staballoy and 30 gilded plasteel to make 30 adamantium. This is some kickass material, how kickass?

Let's take the halberd that Cugel has. At normal quality a bronze one has 10.91 DPS and 56% armor penetration. Staballoy is 10.52 DPS and 66% armor penetration, which honestly isn't that big of a jump from bronze. Adamantium? 31.43 DPS and 74% armor penetration

While it completely obliterates staballoy in weapons, it isn't quite a big leap in armor (roughly 15-20 extra defense in sharp only, has the same blunt defense). So its gonna be just for weapons while staballoy is for armor.

I had a bunch of mead laying around and I'm full of silver so I shot a bunch of it at the Empire and hoo boy don't they like it. Sadly I cannot use our ally status to boost King to Countess.

Heeeey this is actually perfect!

You're under arrest Gaston! These cuffs have nothing to do with the implant!

Welcome to being a proper member, Gaston! What, you thought I was going to insta recruit Bud? Since Slaan and Gaston can't sleep in the same bed that implant would be useless, so I had to make him a proper colonist. Or I could've enslaved Slaan I guess.

I'd like to point at that I've installed this mod called Categorized Bill Dropdown. Now instead of clicking the bills button and getting slapped with this big list of stuff, it instead categorizes things down that you can click on to only show stuff in that category. I can only see bulk of each food tier here, or instead of having all like 40 clothing options at the tailor bench I can sort it in different research options, like Complex Clothing or Noble Apparel and it'll only show recipes in that research class.

Its great for the scribing table, which has over a hundred recipes for all the different skills. Now I can sort them between the 3 tiers of scribing, which also makes it good when I want to look for certain spells that I know is in one tier.

King gets their own implant, a psychic reader which gives a +10% bonus to trade prices as well as +50 to negotiation. This should help out with prisoner recruitment.. now that I'm near my 20 pawn cap.

Another worshipping village and hrm, this is annoying. The computer isn't in a small room and there is all kinds of people in here. Oh well.

Lets pop this off!

These shields are doing wonders, the enemy couldn't even break a shield before dying.

Aw well aint that nice. Wait, why are you both at Vichan's house and not your own, considering it also has a research bench?

I had Dervin make a marble obelisk and placed it near a common walking point. This must be that "modern" "art" I hear so much about.

A spectacular execution happens, now the altar room has a full set of pews as well as an ironwood lectern which increases the quality of the ritual. Though it claims a complex has been discovered it hasn't. That... poorly described bonus to King's consciousness provides a whopping +50% to consciousness, manipulation, talking and eating. King is going to eat the hell out of the soups.

Dear god, that implant is working wonders. Just 2 stacks is giving 21 mood! Gonna keep that in mind when the Hedonist playthrough happens...

Veloxyll got an inspiration and produced a masterwork ironwood table. Sadly no steamy art of post love implant Gaston, or any art whatsoever. I'm expanding the table to compensate for the extra people plus whatever guests we have.

The animals are breeding silly quick so its time to fix that. How do you screw up removal of testicles :argh:

Guess who will be enjoying some rocky mountain oysters?

Slaan and Gaston have their date in the feasting hall, how nice. As to what is being built there? I'll let you know in another 1,316 work.

Bud, or Lynneth, has officially joined the colony. With Gaston officially joining and thus being allowed weapons, this is another 2 archers for the colony. I wonder if there is even enough different bow skill classes for everyone...

And request mercenary is off cooldown so meet the final colonist, bios! Hates men, loves aliens, undecided on alien men. Actually she hates Gaston so I guess thats that.

I set up the Genix in the fridge, while its over 100F outside this fella is keeping the fridge to -4F. So if a solar flare happens I'll be good! Also its trained in hauling so it can help out in moving meats and fruits around in the fridge.

:stare:

This thing has 23.25 DPS and 121% melee armor penetration. Its traits adds 20% physchic sensitivity but has the jealous trait.

Meanwhile at base THIS got finished. The traits will give the wielder 20% psyfocus on each kill while giving a positive mood while being held.

God drat, I want to throw that psyfocus on kill one on King so bad, but their skills require axes! :negative: I decided Lynneth will not be a ranged but instead melee, they do have a single flame in it after all. So she'll be getting that masterwork one.

Behold! A grand meditation throne for KingDoom! I'm hoping they can still eat from it... A better throne will give more psyfocus while meditating, also I think I'll need a grand one eventually anyways.

Masterwork chainmail count: 3. Congrats to bios, who gets this plus a good quality gallatross leather armor and an excellent quality black chitin coat. I really need to pump out more staballoy and get everyone a pair of staballoy gloves and boots. Forget movement speed, who needs to go fast when you're a walking personification of a brick wall?

Oh well thank you, Of Ape Clan, for sowing some cherry trees. You know what they say: Ape planting solo is appreciated. It may be a little late in the season to get these trees going but whatever. Trees will have a higher yield than normal plants so hopefully this can keep up with demand, I really should make the farms bigger. To the right of the trees is some mercury bloom growing, its part of the rimforge mod. Just wait till I get some of that coming in!

I have an unfinished book made at the scribing table and then have King write in it. Bios will use a gem of physical insight to become physically adept and will then take on this warrior ability to be a warrior themselves. Vichan is currently making a shard of spirit extraction. And what is King doing?

Did you know it was viking custom to venture out in the wilderness with a horse and a few bowls of soup to return a proper leader?

To ease some stress off Gaston I make a repair shelf to fix up gear. I'll need to properly set some outfit assignments so colonists will take off their damaged stuff, throw it into this bench then put it back on when it gets fixed up. I figure a clothing assignment for slaves and then one for those with crypto armor and those without.

I'm also gonna need to make multiple cause woof, its taking a minute for these to get repaired.

Pretty arrogant to call yourself super soldiers, time to see if you're as good as you think you are!

Oh well that is just some really bad timing on King's part.

....huh

I must have this weapon

Now its time for King to finish their training. One final battle as a Warrior. First I set up Holmgang then use Storm's Eye on the corrupted raider.

:getin:

King basically solo'd this group, Cugel and (offscreen) NDGBSS takes out the ranged pawns.

Down south is more of an issue, some rear end in a top hat keeps stunning everyone.

:supaburn:

Two groups retreated, now its this last group that has been mostly untouched. I tried getting Layla to fire the ballista but she missed every shot. Now I'm trying to get everyone to run over to this side of the colony.

Why does everyone/thing want to attack SilentSnack, what did they ever do to you :saddumb:

The cavalry has arrived!

Oh thats right bios is now a warrior. Time for some upheaval!

And then a drop pod raid happaned and... excuse me, what? A bunch of monsters and mechoids all dropped.

Oh god one of them polymorphed Dervin and Senrath.

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL gently caress IS GOING ON HERE

Thankfully Gaston reversed the savant damage but like. Why the gently caress was there mechoids and some of the viking hunts all in this drop pod raid? This one also had a corrupted raider, is this because of the drat blessings of Zir?

Now that I finally got a break, King removed their warrior class and is now reading a book to become a Mystic. This is a midranged class that uses chi for its abilities. The abilities are:

Ohajiki will do an AOE that damages and slows pawns down

Shizukesa will silence, daze and stun a target

Exorcise will remove buffs, debuffs, magic shields, poison and arcane weakness from a target.

Smelling Salts is an AOE stun

Ward Against Evil will shield an ally

Seal of Purging will set an area on fire

Explosive Seal is the above, but it explodes

Absolution will do heavy holy damage around the target, and the target will also take increased damage

And then the Mystic can meditate, which will be like the monk's meditation. It will heal damage, addictions, illnesses while also increasing rest and joy.

And then I have King use the essence that was left behind when they used the shard and shot them up 18 levels. Now sure, this class has a lot of abilities meant for medium range... but there is nothing stopping me from using these abilities point blank. And now that King has meditation I can just have them meditation during downtime in a fight and fully heal themselves. Now that they no longer are a warrior I have them equip that persona monosword :getin:

Jeeze can you imagine, being in the body of an animal?

...........

Anyways, after growing some mercury bloom we take that mercury, 10 plasteel and 20 devilstrand and turn it into 20 mercury ultraweave. What is mercury ultraweave? Well it seems the person behind rimforged realized "Wait, some items are made only out of textiles and thus can't use my powerful alloy metals. I got it!" and bam, mercury ultraweave was made. A hyperweave cape provides 60 sharp and 16 blunt resistance. Gallatross is 75/13.5. Mercury is 69/51.

The big hold back on making this stuff is the devilstrand. Now I regret selling off a bunch of devil sheep.

Now isn't that just glorious?

I have Bios put it on. So their outer layer provides 89/82 sharp and blunt, middle is a whopping 158 sharp and 35 blunt and their skin layer is 120 sharp and 166 blunt defense. Damage? What damage? Unless they're fighting someone with a monosword...

Or they aim for the head, hands or feet.

... though they're gonna have to punch through one of these.

Agreed!

Shortly after this... Bami, how do you still have relatives at this point?

Sure its just trees that they're chopping and they aren't actually attacking. But everything on this map belongs to the Legion

You know, I wasn't expecting there to be this many sword users when I started this playthrough. But the game keeps throwing really good swords at me...

The raid is easily wiped up and hey, they put all the labor in chopping the wood for me!

Behold the grand rug, made out of lizardskin. That is certainly a neat piece of art to display in the feasting hall. And why yes, that is the meat platter hidden behind the UI on the bottom, almost time for the yearly feast :toot:

I really need to start getting more honor, its been quite a few years now. Should probably design a bedroom for the stellarch as well, maybe start upgrading one of the bigger houses...

Calamitous becomes the Shadow class, which is a hybrid class. On the magic side their abilities are:

Blink will let the user teleport

Summon will summon whatever is targeted to the caster

Soul Bond will let the caster bond with an ally, letting them either summon the pawn to them or let them teleport to the bonded. The bonded will get penalties to their stats, while the bond..er will get bonuses.

Shadow Walk will have the caster teleport to another pawn.

On the might side there is:

Shadow Strike will teleport the caster onto another pawn and do a lot of damage.

Nightshade will apply a toxin to the caster's weapon which causes shortness of breath and organ failure on the target

Veil of Shadows will turn the caster invisible and will leave a cloud that works like smoke, disallowing automated turrets from aiming inside it.

They can also learn the different skills for both physical and magic classes. There is a reason why I want them to be a hybrid class..

Keldulas posted:

I really do not know. Spontaneous pawn death is often when consciousness hits 0. Usually this happens when you have a pawn that is heavily wounded or sick and then they smoke a joint and that drops their consciousness to 0. But in all these cases that wasn't what happened, they wouldn't smoke the joint and walk off then die later. They would promptly drop after the drug effect kicks in. Maybe there is something going on with a mod but I'm not sure what could be causing it. There is the one that increases overall health when a pawn takes damage but that only makes changes to the total health of each body part, and it only goes up.

Its so odd

I swear if this ends up being a boring feast again...

God loving dammit why didn't it spawn a venerated animal :negative:

This horse is certainly not having a good time. It may be time to take it out back and put a bullet bolt through it.

Another worshipping village, this time I'm showing off Drakenel's scorpion ability in yanking someone with a bow close to them.

Good loving lord they're just rushing on in.

I get Dervin to jetpack on over and then pop some AOEs.

I get notified of a medical emergency and turns out someone has some poison arrows that is about to kill Dervin :ohdear: So I pop Nebula, which gives them invulnerability for some time. Now that I got everyone riding horses I can start bringing a few bodies on back as well, no need to sit and wait a day to chop them all up.

While everyone heads back I wanted to show off the road work. I've researched up to asphalt highway, so now our settlements are producing proper roads. I want to say this makes travel faster, otherwise whats the point of having 3 tiers of research? That said when I compare travel difficulty to the asphalt road and a dirt road it comes out as the same speed so...

This is our energy settlement clear on the other side of the world. I wonder how long it'll take for that road to get anywhere near the other side of the planet?

Oh and what is going on in the kitchen? What is Chaos making that Dervin is adding to the soup?

In the past I think the only drug condiment was smokeleaf butter, but now we can make stock cubes out of go juice, which applies some of its effects to food. Everyone will be getting some of the effects without the risk of addiction :getin:

This is what my extra silver is going to be going into.

Oh drat, Slaan and Gaston are finally married! I guess I deleted the marriage spot when shifting things around in the altar room and forgot. Whoops.

Gaston is living his best life and I'm happy for him :)

Oh wow I didn't realize there was different text for couples.

Wait, they just got married and are now on a date. In the fields. Not the place I'd pick for a date...

So the reason I wanted Calamitous to have mana: So they can use the arcane forge, and make one of these

LOOK AT IT, LOOK AT THAT DEFENSE

And I can wear them with any other armor cause its on an "artifact" layer. The only thing that is keeping me from slapping these on everyone is how long it takes to make stuff.

Speaking of artifacts, remember that one sword from a corrupted raider last update? Anyone equipping it will get -25 mood for it. It can be used to make this... but its a filthy blunt weapon that no one would like to carry in this colony. So much for that I guess!

Time for another fiesta, need more manflesh. At this point I rework food assignments, the slaves will be regulated to eating nigiri so there are more soups for the proper colonists cause my god, soup does *not* last long when meat stocks are low. Also the nigiri is more filling, meaning they will eat less often and work more.

Oh god no Dervin why, we are LOW on food :saddumb:

Thankfully a hearty laugh makes Dervin think otherwise to contributing to the food shortage.

bio is playing fetch with the ripper hound. Bit of a cheat when you got extra appendages to catch a stick, isn't it?

So that raid from the fiesta never happened, I had 2 groups show up with 0 people and I think preemptive strike may be breaking something. So I'm attacking a work site and it just feels so good only sending 6 pawns to viking yell directly into the enemy while firing a volley of arrows and throwing explosives all over the place. Also I love that these people keep gibbets around of even more bodies for me to butcher.

... And then you got THIS rear end in a top hat that made KingDoom a dementia episode

You aint goin' anywhere :argh:

Whats nice about these sites is that there is plenty of beds so my pawns can hang around for a day while someone chops up all the bodies. Hell, with hunting sites there is even another butcher table in one of the buildings so I can have 2 pawns do it!

Wooooow this game has trolled the poo poo out of me by giving Dervin a creativity inspiration *seconds* before completing a small slate sculpture. Bravo :golfclap:

Guess I'll be tossing this in King's house.

Huh, thats an interesting one. You can use the communication console to call whatever is approaching your colony so lets give them a ring. Its rare to fight mechoids in a way that ISN'T drop pods/ships.

:iit:

Ugh, centipedes. I loving hate these things.

Taking a few potshots before retreating back, let them lose their ranged advantage...

Oh and of course a guest is gonna just waltz on over. Yeah, ok.

Lot of them heading down this particular alleyway, which is gonna cause an issue cause they're just running past the melee people.

I have Drakenel use Chain Ward to yank all friendlies close by, not only giving the shield buff but to also close up the alley so the mechoids can't rush past

I get Dervin to leap on in to get close and keep them from shooting.

I get Gaston to root a few in place...

I get Lynneth and SomeoneAwful to rush on, meanwhile Vichan, BLT and Gaston try to keep the fires in check. I got the slaves running over to take over that bit.

God drat this is just a clusterfuck. I can't use a lot of different abilities because they'll hit other pawns.

For the most part wounds are minimal. As the majority of the mechs were ranged the best they could do is give bruises. The fire and damage done to the rest of the base is what sucks. Who knew the best way to handle mechs late game isn't a killbox with a bunch of guns but just running right up to them with weapons and making sure they can never shoot?

And credit where credit is due: The guests were perfectly adequate targets for the mechoids to shoot at :v:

:getin:

More mechoids huh? Why not give me human raids again, I need more manflesh!

Quite foolish to let me get this close....

Quite clusterfucky, especially with as many mechoids as there were. Chaos got the worst of it when a bunch of the jaguar mechs leaped on them, but good ol' reverse time fixed that. Not only is Gaston useful for that, but I swear after every single solitary fight there is at least 3 pawns who will have been hit enough that their gear is tattered so I need him to go around fixing everyone's stuff.

Now Cugel walks away with a scar in both the brain and right eye, but King can heal scars. And whats great is that the psychic feeding from kills even effects kills from mechoids, so they got a full bar of psychic energy to fix this with.

drat, was really hoping for a legendary suit of armor. This goes to KingDoom because they're so happy that it doesn't matter they get grumbly that I'm not having them wear a specific type of hat.

Food is continuing to be an issue, there is just no human raids coming in! I try out a new strategy with attacking hunt sites, I can just barge into these buildings and force the enemy to come in 1 at a time. Doesn't matter that they want to have 25 people in each site now.

I checked Bami's social tab, mostly to see just how many of her relatives have been killed and eaten and holy poo poo her husband is the faction leader of a hostile faction? Why the hell was she in a casket? It'll be a good thing when we finally meet him and eat him

And look at who just sent in a quest, the loving testicles on this guy!

While that guy was demanding monuments and locking up his wife, Lynneth studied the blade. To be a samurai. The abilities are:

Iai causes a line AOE between them and the target area

Intent will give them increased stamina regeneration

Flow will block all incoming damage for some time

Lunar Arc will cause a slow moving projectile to make a target bleed profusely

Yukikaze will attack an enemy and will be off cooldown if it overkills the target

Body Training will give a bonus to manipulation, moving, breathing, blood pumping and blood filtration

And with that I all melee pawns are a class. Dunno if I'll swap Senrath to another class, as Cugel is also a blade dancer and it may be good to make Senrath a hybrid so they too can use the arcane forge.

Now to figure out what the names are for all the non gun ranged classes and keep an eye out for their books. Guess I should also look out if there are any mage bow classes.

:stare:

:stare: :stare:

:sickos:

Now to let them all bleed to death. Also good lord we are going to have so much loving meat.

And now King has a level 5 psylink... so finally, after so long, I can finally use regrow body parts! And Silent can now get their front leg back.

Why not use a bionic replacement? Because.

Hopefully this will serve as a future deterrent. Would YOU want to gently caress with a bunch of vikings who took on 71 elephants?

I went ahead and researched marine armor which lets me make some of these. While they wont be as defensive as staballoy plate boots, they give +0.15 speed instead of -0.10. Just needs 20 plasteel and an advance component. Since this isn't a tech advanced colony, I got enough of those laying around to give everyone a pair.

:ohdear:

Well the fight didn't go that poorly, they're so well armored that they healed from the bruises before even reaching their beds.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

KILL THE loving WORLD

Wanna see what happens when you take an unstoppable force and combine it with an unmovable object? The Death Knight's abilities are:

Shroud of Darkness is the core of the Death Knight. It buffs both attack and defense, can strike back at any attackers and block projectiles, minus those fired really close. It works off the Death Knight's hate levels, which increases as the Death Knight takes and deals damage.

Wave of Fear will debuff an enemy's dark/light defense, movement and attack speeds. It has a larger range with more hate

Spite will heavily damage a target. Requires hate to use

Life Steal will heal and restore stamina to the Death Knight when doing damage and its always on. Upgrades can have it heal allies too.

Grave Blade is an AOE that can also heal the Death Knight when damage is dealt.

I think Cugel is now the entire army.

BLT also becomes a Nomad, appropriate for someone who often caravans to sell junk. The abilities are:

Hook Shot will hook to a target then head towards it, doing damage to whoever is along the way. I should mention Nomad is supposed to be a melee/range hybrid

Sand Strike will damage an enemy in melee range that scales on the user's bow. It also gives the Nomad chi

Nomad's Grit reduces damage taken, increases combat stats and gives health regeneration in exchange for chi

Hail of Blades does massive damage to a target, requires chi.

Broadhead Arrow will stun and daze a target

Shadow Shot will turn the Nomad invisible when it hits and give them some speed and gives chi

Sun Shot can be fired at a plant that will cause an "instant conflagration" in an area. Requires chi

Gust Arrow will disarm a target and keep them in place while hitting them with slicing winds. Costs chi.

At this point only Godna and Vichan are not a class of some sort. I do have 2 classes in mind for them, if I can ever find the books.

I send Cugel against 19 tribals.

:lmao:

Yep. I also brought Vichan and Chaos to heal and butcher, respectively. Seriously, I have not had any human raids thus far and am just surviving off these work sites.

Holy god loving drat. Drakenel was next in line for a coat so congrats! A textile trader flew in overhead so I swiped up all their gallatross leather and mercury weave. I'd say our enemies will soon regret many things, but apparently they already do what with the fact there still hasn't been any loving raids.

I decided to go for a more viking way of getting rid of unwanted crap. Sadly I can't build boats and let them float downriver so instead I built a room with marble walls and gave Bami some molotovs. Wouldn't this make her more likely to rebel? In fact, wont this mean she'll throw molotovs when she rebels, in a colony made of wood buildings?

Don't you worry your pretty little face.

Congrats to these two. Maybe this relationship will work out better for Vichan?

Its dawning on me that the houses I've built aren't exactly spacious for a 2 person bed...

Looks like not everyone is having a good relationship though...

A thrumbo hunt? Good sir, you insult me! Still, thats some thrumbo fur for the taking...

Its hitting me that having all these mods with all these different events means that the possibility of events is so overloaded that I don't often get a lot of... well anything. Haven't had any viking tombs since the last one, hunts barely come in, hell I've been waiting for Royalty quests so I can get some drat honor :argh:

Good loving lord look at this! That is the cap for sharp right there. Slaan was the only one that was in the colony wearing a plainleather leather armor so they get this. I think I'm gonna have to take the crypto armor off those that have it and give them a gallatross leather armor and mercury cape.

And bit by bit do our warriors become walking tanks. Please someone attack :(

Using the settlements to provide prisoners for meat, I can finally send some people out to take care of this complex and huh, all 4 terminals just happened to be in the spot I tore some wall down into.

I've learned that you can call in a supply drop on an ancient comms console. The description for this doesn't mention anything, it just says "Valuable parts are missing, and everything else is degraded into uselessness." So either this supply drop function is from a mod or description is complete horseshit and you wouldn't know you could hack it unless you happened to right click it with a pawn selected.

The supply drop was a bunch of blue fungus. Maybe uh... maybe not the best idea to eat fungus from space. Maybe in the Hedonist playthrough.

Oh so this is where all you assholes have been hiding :argh:

Glad I brought Cugel. After leaving there is a relic complex located really close to the colony. Just need to bring all these bodies and prisoners back.

Sorry, I should've said "food".

The relic complex wasn't too exciting, but we now got our second relic. I set up some construction for a third reliquary to hold the final relic. The weapon would've been nice... but uh *points at legendary adamantine halberd*

Oh well, that is now 2 relics which will give everyone +3 mood at every ritual!

My pawn's got a badass engraving of them killing someone super hard on a legendary adamantium halberd, nice.

I suspect people are learning to steer clear of the cannibal vikings by now, except for the very stupid. That's my headcanon anyway.
