It's interesting. If Batman did this same thing, it would be just as inappropriate and scary, but it feels more out of character for regular-degular Batman to do. But if you told me one of those "Dark Multiverse" Batman did something similar back when he was in Metaton's chair, I'd buy that. I imagine it's not just Reed who's dumber. Everyone would be dumber, except in making mech suits. Also, Tony probably doesn't need Power Cosmic to try that stuff. He'd probably put nanites in the water supply.
