It's interesting. If Batman did this same thing, it would be just as inappropriate and scary, but it feels more out of character for regular-degular Batman to do. But if you told me one of those "Dark Multiverse" Batman did something similar back when he was in Metaton's chair, I'd buy that.

ED to add: It does feel pretty within character for Tony to do it though, especially loaded up on cosmic juice.

I suppose it's not too much of a stretch to imagine some crazed 19th century North American new bourgeoisie putting together a stately home in château style in rural Alberta, or perhaps buying up a small hotel built in that style. Certainly new money have done stranger things than that.
