Uramachi Sakaba I like the background-setting her reaction gives. Myoga is the flower bud of a ginger variety - you could probably substitute regular ginger for it, but in smaller amounts, as it's pretty mild. EBB posted:So ChaCha's world was made for her too? That's interesting. Night Visitors I tell you what, I almost gave up on this one, and in the end (as you can probably guess from the way the jokes work) had to almost completely rework it.

For all of the translators: It's ok if a comic descends into nonsense in translation. That's actually interesting in itself. Just explain what the joke is supposed to be if this happens. I for one will embrace it.

CommonShore posted:For all of the translators: Well, if I translated the ginger one literally, it'd be: Ginger: Good evening! Q-Rais: Ah, it's ginger. Ginger: Don't call me ginger, that's lame. Call me ginger! Q-Rais: Ginger... Q-Rais: Ginger! Ginger: And don't say it like "Shin-chan"! ...which seems to lack a certain something. There are one or two coming up that are basically un-localizable, though.

Remember, though, Calvin would definitely never egg Susie's house. Steal her toys and send her a ransom note, sure, but egging would just be too far.

Bobbinsquote:The guy with the moustache is Drew, a character who appeared a very few times, early on in the original Bobbins. His background is mysterious. He’s the babes only in the home man. I only just realised that Drew's idea of a babe Elliot talks about in that linked issue is literally on a poster in Drew's wall. Got nothing to do with this strip, but it's a neat detail I missed the first time.
