mjf isn't fighting hanger yet there are way more people for page to duke it out with before running up against arguably the number 1 heel in AEW rn. Going at Cole implies facing off tangentially with the Bucks who are at least on speaking terms with him and Cole aiming his sights at what he must think is an easy bounce-back win could build to that. Personally I would want a lot of build considering the baggage but 3 weeks of pushing it could work.

Caught up on Dynamite tonight. What a show.  Extremely here for Mox and Danielson either as a match or a stable. Danhausen getting the same god pop as Mox warmed my cold black heart. Lance Archer needs to slooooooow down when talking. The main event was better than I could have possibly dreamed. They had a hell of a match, told a great story and MJF gets to brag about beating CM Punk in Chicago twice in one night. Makes MJF look super strong hopefully leading up to taking the belt off Hangman. MJF winning with an assist from Wardloyal was perfect. Awesome Dynamite. Can’t wait for Rampage.

Just managed to watch Dynamite. MJF Vs. Punk was a 5-snowflake match for me--long matches are extremely my jam it turns out. Maybe because I was already spoiled by it here so my expectations were low, I thought the Brandi segment wasn't that horrible. Having said that though, it was extremely uncomfortable that the crowd hated her so much that they cheered for the conservative piece of poo poo boomer who was being extremely misogynistic.

They should have reversed the spots for Punk and MJF, I think. He always uses the ring to win and that's boring now. Him getting caught doing that, restarting the match, then choking Punk out would have been better.

Yeah but Bryce and MJF reacting to the garrotte reveal was one of my favourite moments of the match, so it had to go in the middle.

I kind of like the idea that it's the only form of cheating that works for him. Still has a shelf-life, though I do think there are ways and story beats you could do with it that would be fun.

If they do Hangman vs. MJF at the next PPV, it works as kind of a tournament final where it's the guy who beat Danielson vs. the guy who beat Punk.
