[8] Pocky & Rocky 2 (SNES) 2/4/22 Review: I never played either of these games before and that is a shame. This game is made to be played 2P and sadly I only could play it by myself. I love the levels, the ramping up of difficulty and the music. It reminds me a lot of Gun.Smoke, which is one of my favorite games ever. The weak parts honestly are the shmup stages because it gets rid of the unique things like the shop and branching levels. gently caress the last boss. 8/10

Pocky & Rocky 2 Seemed like it had a lower budget than the original. The art, especially the background art, didn't have as much depth, variety and theming. The addition of partners was kind of cool, but they traded that for the slide move which added a lot more to combat than having a high damage attack on cooldown does. There are some light RPG elements now with shops, partner unlocks and branching paths, but I only noticed one branching path in the whole game. It's not bad but if you were only gonna play one I'd recommend the first

Sekiro (immortal severance ending): I'd played through roughly the first half of it before but felt like I never really got the combat and was really struggling. I came back to it about 10 days ago and it immediately clicked. None of the bosses were too rough this time except corrupted monk final phase killing me like 10 times and the final boss like 40. Absolutely epic game.

Beat Maneater. Pretty fun for an open world sandboxy sort of game. The world is not overly large and you get absurdly strong very quickly so it doesn't overstay its welcome too much. Reminded me a lot of Prototype. I'd prolly give it a 7/10

5) Yakuza 4 Remastered, gamepass. More Yakuza, which is a great thing, but a quarter of this game is with a lovely character and another quarter with a good one marred by a really rough start and an annoying world traversal mechanic. Probably my least favorite I've played yet but still decent, and at least feels better to fight than 3.

Solas 128. Been working on this one on and off because the last 2 sections are impenetrable and some of the mechanics are just annoying to work with. Glad its done.
