My one year old went from eating a consistent amount of food day-to-day to devouring absolutely everything in sight overnight it seems like She can have growth spurts but she can't be taller than me when all is said and done

The cool thing about your kid having a head wound on a Sunday is all the urgent care clinics in the area are closed so gently caress you go to the ER.

yeah I'm fine with just putting some gauze on it but my wife is flipping the gently caress out because it's indicative of a greater problem where if you happen to hurt yourself on a Sunday you're hosed if you live in our area. there aren't any actual hospitals close by since the west Seattle bridge is shut down and everything takes 20-30 minutes to reach via car.

update: wife took him to Seattle Childrens and he got four staples. i still have no goddamn idea what happened. I'm thinking he got up in the middle of the night and backed into his dresser opening the door. the fact that he just went back to sleep as if nothing happened is the most bizarre part.

I was making some kind of point to my 7-year-old about God being all-good and all-powerful, and nobody can say anything bad about him. So of course he responds, "yes I can. drat YOU, GOD!" Didn't have a comeback for that one.

We had to move across the country in June but he absolutely LOVED his old school, his teachers, and the kids there. He started at his new school in October and while he never really has a problem going, he's only recently started enjoying it. Today he told me that it was fun because a girl was chasing him and he had to run really fast. I'm so relieved that I had to share it here. im glad your kid found a friend to chase him, that’s adorable e: drat, that’s some serious stapleage for such a little kid

Good soup! posted:People got nursery rhymes and stuff playing in the car Perfectly fine. I've inflicted Sleep, Warren Zevon, MF Doom, Iggy Pop, Beastie Boys, etc on mine and they're fine. They even make requests when they get familiar with albums. Just be careful once they start understanding lyrics. The conversations about the ghost nature of Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner escalated to a brief history of mercenaries in African civil wars and that depressed both me and my 5yo.

Has homeschooling resources and experiences been discussed here yet? i tried looking in A/T and i didnt find a thread. it looks pretty straightforward to do where i live, just trying to figure which curricula i should be looking at. ngl, i kinda feel like even if i screw up the homeschooling, public schools as an institution aren't going to exist by the time my kids would have been graduating anyway.
