Seems like photographing a hockey game would be pretty restrictive even with a fancy badge but dang I'd love to do it anyways.

What are the rules for having the little camera windows open?

NONE SHALL PASS!
I was at least hoping to go down to the bench, if you get to that point you get a jersey and I think you sign the NHL tryout contract. Obviously I didn't want either keep to get hurt but it'd be a cool experience. I actually skated with about 4 of the players this summer a fair amount so it's not like I'm totally foreign to the level of shot. I'm sure the opportunity might come up again so we'll see!

We played a game a few weeks ago, where my teammate got irked at me as we were up by 6 with 4 minutes left. He made a really nice pass from behind the goal to me, goalie was really off his line, had 3/4 of it open but I just held it and sent into the goalie's chest. I told him on the bench that I wasn't going to be a dbag and run the score up, no point in that.

Our game 7 energy player slewfooted a guy last night.

He's one of those people that's super nice in the locker room but once he's on the ice turns into a hothead, every little nudge and stick contact is a huge affront. Everyone in the locker room told him that poo poo is unacceptable so we'll see where that goes.

Don't know how that stuff isn't a game ejection/suspension but that's beer league for you.

I’ll never be good enough to match Titanium’s level, and I’m ok with that.

I’m just happy I had a primary assist, a low goals against, and my team is up in the best of three for our league championship.

Jack in the box tacos are 2 for $1.29. It may be greasy tofu cat food but goddamn if they don’t taste amazing smothered in hot taco sauce after a game and a few beers.

The cool thing about getting refurbished pro stock sticks is sometimes they have names on them

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shj5YWws31M

I hope this player at BU is happy to know that one of his sticks is still being used down the D-League dumps

I’ve got a pro stock goalie blocker from Maxime Lagace, who played for the Stars’ AHL affiliate.

He’d be happy to know that his blocker was used as part of my short but effective 3-game goalie career where I went undefeated in net and retired.

I went to a few Icehogs gear sales a ways back, they usually have a bucket of castoff sticks. All the used ones with names got bought instantly by collectors, but there was usually a few unused castoffs by players that had passed through. I bought two belonging to some no-name player who's name I don't remember, it had the most absurd open face. Also had a ridiculous curve that would never pass the quarter test. Backhands were basically impossible.

Pretty sure the owner had set it up with a blow torch, the two I bought turned out to be really brittle and the blades cracked in under a year. But they were my first carbon fibre sticks so obviously best stick ever (until the infamous Fischer sale on Amazon happened).

I remember seeing a bunch of TRUE pro stock return sticks that were made for a player to try out.

There were a huge bunch of Suzuki sticks (both brothers) made similar to the Bauer specs that he uses.

My former bro in law played ahl/NHL/khl and I got some great gear over the years, mostly sticks. I still use the Portland pirates ahl bag and the grand rapids griffins helmet. I've still got a few reebok sticks left that I haven't used yet but they're like 100 flex. I had a pair of Reebok ahl all star game gloves but I didn't like the way they fit.

Scored two goals tonight, heck yeah. We've been back for about a month now after the omicron lockdown and I feel like I'm finally kinda back in shape. We were only off for six weeks, but I had COVID in there too so that might've been part of why I fell off so hard.
