Everyone says how easy having your 3ds is but it has way more steps than I'm willing to entertain. Seems like it would take like an hour to set up, I'd rather play a video game

I think the majority of people who played 3DS games had the feature turned off or at the very least turned it all the way down. It was an interesting bit of tech but it certainly wasn't a system seller. That said, certain games the effect worked really well and I still say that the 3DS version of Shovel Knight is the definitive version just because of how good the 3D looks.

So I have a bunch of Switch (and DS/3DS) game cases that I’m not using because all of my game carts are in a game holder case thing, is there any resale value to the empty cases or should I throw them in the trash? I see them for sale on eBay all the time but I don’t know if anyone actually buys them.

I specifically bought a case on eBay once because a copy GameStop sent me looked like a dog chewed the case.

In a textbook example of adding insult to injury, the eShop website was just redesigned and all the wii u games disappeared. According to google, it’s basically a paperweight, not good), but somewhere in the sand, it kind of is “taking features away” because in this case, they’re “removing features” (the ability to buy the games legally) with no flow for transferring licenses to Switch Online, instead saying “we think being able to play Mario 1 is fine, and we don’t really care right now about you being able to play Mario 2 because it’s less important/less iconic/will make us less money” Anyways, what I’m saying is the “planned obsolescence” is baked into the design, more than just the overarching point of entropy where some of these components like the battery, cpu, etc have a shelf life they’re planned on being good for. They want you to keep chasing the carrot, and it’s stupid and I hate it.
