Pillbug
Ack, I hope Lange Grete makes it.

e: Great snipe. I have always had a pretty strong general health, but covid was absolutely awful for me. First couple of days was like a mild cold and on the fourth day I honestly thought I was one of the lucky ones who barely felt it and that I was no longer sick. Fifth day I started having a fever which lasted for a full loving week along with a pretty much constant migraine. Constant fever, constant migraine for a week is no fun at all. Coughing started half way though that week, and lasted more than another full week. It was coughing more or less constantly, like every 10 minutes, day and night and accompanied by a very painful sore throat and a completely stuffed nose. The rawness of the sore throat made it so I barely slept several days in a row because I would wake myself up with the pain of swallowing saliva every time I manged to doze off. Argh! Meanwhile, my friend who has always been really frail of health, getting colds left right and center, always fighting some stomach bug, infection, or some thing, had a sore throat for 3 days with covid and that was it. I'm wondering if I was among the last to get delta or something.

Lol I had symptoms that matches covid from this morning (basically a bad cold) and was surprised to see that the health service homepage (1177) not merely no longer recommend me to take a covid test - I'm not ALLOWED to take one! Since the 9th you can't order on their website, you can't book a test at a clinic, you're simply left with a happy note that says "If you feel sick - stay at home".

Covid is, indeed, over. And I might just have gotten it the day it was. But I'll never know since I'm not allowed to test myself.

How 'bout them hawks news huh!
https://www.svt.se/nyheter/ekonomi/jatteras-i-ericsson-aktien-efter-misstankar-om-is-muta

quote:

Svenska telekombolaget Ericssons aktie rasade kraftigt under onsdagen.

”Man försöker ta kontroll över förloppet”

Amazing, just amazing.

Now we'll have some outrage, Ericsson's empty suits and PR staff will get prime time slots to waste air and nothing of consequence will happen. Too big to fail is a hell of a drug.

E: I think I've heard that it's frowned upon to fund terrorism. What a shame that this was a huge company doing the funding and not individuals. I guess there is nothing to be done.

I hate this.

Now would probably be a good time to invest if you're the cynical type who doesn't care about ISIL bribes, since 14,4% seems like an overreaction, and it's probably going to bounce back.

Of course this requires some amount of cynicism and lack of scruples, and I said the same thing about Danske Bank, and uh... Please don't trust a socialist to be a markets and investment expert :v:

For international viewers, Bulletin was an... ambitious attempt to create a prestigious Swedish right-wing news site. It recruited a bunch of big conservative/liberal names and them promptly imploded in front of a jeering twittersphere. Greatest hits include (non-journalist) board members trying to tell journalists how journalism works, hiring an East Coast liberal as editor in chief in an apparent attempt to seem respectable, and hiring a convicted triple murderer as an HR resource.

Tino Sanandaji who headed up the project is still Baghdad Bob-ing it and claims that they will appeal the bankruptcy

Wasnt it Telia who besides bribery supplied telecom services that was directly used for persecuting dissidents in some of the central asian dictatorships?
