Kanye's saying hes independent and turned down a 100 million Apple deal for donda 2. So its supposed to be an independent release and everyone's going to torrent it or listen to it online anyway. Its pretty cool that he's one of the bigger artists challenging the streaming platforms. Whether the album is good or not is gonna be a different story, he posted a tracklist with more than 20 songs.

so is "Create Music Group" an alternative to EMPIRE?  i don't think i ever fully understood the music business. being signed to one label ("death row") or "independent" but then bring distributed by another label. then again, i never understood why "The Chronic" was split between Priority and Interscope / Death Row, but Priority never worked with Interscope again. but that was decades back. but i guess Ye will get some streaming revenue if even his leaks for Donda 2 are getting Content ID'd already. so, he still wants that streaming change, i guess.

i forgot there was another donda stream (for "donda 2" i guess) so i threw it on and at least this sounds better than that first donda stream. of course this supposed to be for an album thats only coming out on a stupid $200 special music player divorced energy off the CHARTS though, there's a song with the line "don't stand between a man and his kids/yall don't got enough security for this"

I really wish Ye would just make a bunch of Daytonas - short focused albums that let talented rappers shine. Give me one with Freddie, one with Griselda, one with Vince, etc. He's still doing great work as long as it's for other people. When he works on his own albums it's clear there's nobody to reign him in so we get bloated messes like Donda.
