Before the Storm was so good and LiS2 so bad that Dontnod apparently got kicked off their own series and the new one was made by the studio that did BtS lol. Haven’t actually played the new one though, it seems to be getting a pretty good reception

the soundtrack alone makes this worth it IMO. there are going to be detractors and yes, the font still sucks, but this is a very pretty way to play final fantasy 6.

The soundtrack is amazing. For tracks with shorter loops like Locke's theme or The Decisive Battle they added extra instrumentation on each second loop to make sure there's more variety, and they went all-out on tracks like Searching for Friends. If you're on PC the font is a very easy fix at least, you can even replace it with the original FF6 font.

i simply use Djibriel's guide from Gamefaqs, print the 11 pages of rages, highlight the formations that i've encountered, cross them off as Gau learns them, and then leave gau out of the party for the rest of the game.
