They're professional trained soldiers. right. a large part of the russian military are low morale, low training conscripts. however, russia does have a world class core to their infantry and armored forces, and these are the guys rolling into ukraine tonight think of "contract troops" as professional volunteer soldiers instead of the guys compelled by law to show up. american troops also have to sign a contract when they enlist. the russian "contract troops" aren't mercs, they're the career soldiers
