With all the people fleeing the Ukraine, how easy is it for them to actually get into another country to safety. I believe Poland said it would help out with people evacuating, but would it be easy for them to get into places like Moldova, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia? I mean who knows if they're checking passports at the moment, if not, oh god are the ques going to be long.

The CNN video with tanks crossing Belarusian-Ukrainian border is actually from the checkpoint that is between three countries, so it's not conclusive that those came from the territory of Belarus. There are, however, reports that there was a short tank skirmish on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border near Novaya Huta, which is 100% Belarusian territory, but I couldn't find any videos to confirm this.

To get to Romania they would need to go through Odessa which the Russian troops won't be helpful, to Moldova through Transnistria, which is Russian controlled. Your only option is Poland. Romania has also offered to take refugees (I think the number was 500,000) and Slovakia has said they are readying their military to help with the inflow. Hungary and Moldova might be inhospitable (Orban was hesitant to condemn Russia, Moldova has its own Russian puppet separatist state to deal with).

So while I work on my previous big write-up that I talked about I just have to say that it's impressive how much information is still getting out. Internet connectivity is going to degrade rather than improve and information flow is going to decrease in actual truth and increase in coordinated propaganda and misinformation as more and more physical strikes take place on physical Telecom infrastructure that could not be compromised via cyber attack. I think it is relatively safe to assume that any place that has any sort of Russian air presence is going to be experiencing widespread cellular and wireless jamming. If you or someone you know is in this poo poo right now they need to be recording as much as they safely can and dumping it to offline storage as much as they possibly can to preserve evidence if they are not able to get it up under the public internet. If they have old cell phones that don't currently have data plans on them use them as cameras and never connect them to the internet, if they have SIM cards remove them as they should be treated as dumb devices without network connectivity. Record loving everything. Copy it everywhere. I think it’s now dawning on this thread that Putin has to be stopped. A poster above asked you to contact your representatives regarding refugees. I suggest one better: Ukraine needs immediate and substantial military aid. US and NATO air cover would provide substantial discouragement for the Russians to push any further. If Putin wants to start taking sovereign nations he needs to face a severe penalty. The Bear needs another lesson from the Eagle.
