I would've preferred they put in no explanation so instead of complaining about the stated reason he can keep up where other S classes have fallen, we could endlessly debate the reason and complain that no explanation was given. Metal Bat can keep up because of the shonen variation of the Roger Rabbit rule: it's cool.

It's stupid, but I really like Murata managing to convey the scale of this poo poo by having just part of the centipede lit by the sun. It's a good chapter to be sure, but I love the stuff he takes time to do that he absolutely doesn't need to. It makes the whole thing look so good.
