If that's the case that's part of why that fight is so difficult. The large windup attack absolutely varies its timing unless you gain distance to force him to use a charge. It's not the first time they've used the trick, but it's making the fight especially tedious when combined with the outrageous backhopping.

lmao, I figured I'd just create a character since my controller doesn't work, and the views in character creation are partially mapped to my rudder pedals with no way to change that. So even using m/kb, it keeps adjusting character view. joystick doesn't seem to be doing anything, and the throttle is unplugged. Such rookie dogshit.

Well gently caress! I start my game, die to something faster than I could make out what it was. Appear somewhere new, talk to a guy and get killed by a guy on a horse. Explore to find some camp of easy dudes and a chest. Chest sends me somewhere with enemies that kill me in 2 hits and I cannot leave. This is what I get for avoiding spoilers.

Came out into the open world for the first time and found a big golden dude on a horse. Killed him by hiding inside a building and poking him with magic missiles. I assume this is the correct way to play.

i5-7600k no overclock and a 3070 TI, running at 1440p on high. Getting a pretty consistent 55-60 fps. Sometimes it drops down to 40ish. No real stutters that I'm noticing. Performance test number 2, 2070 Super 30-40 FPS on all settings high, 4k, HDR turned on. GPU fully cranked This game definitely isn't as bad as perceived regarding performance and GPUs, they just need to fix the stuttering issue.

Yeah, everything is 100% good, only something is causing FPS hitching at critical times that I'm pretty sure isn't connected to GPU or CPU. Once that's resolved and the game is a buttery smooth 60fps throughout it's gonna be the GOAT Still annoyed that I don't know what happened during the first boss fight though because it hitched hugely right as they dropped down and I didn't get a stable camera until I was already dead lol

Is it possible to look at the map when you're not resting at a grace site? I haven't found as way yet. Also, has anyone found a shield that doesn't have parry so I can actually use these ashes of War?
