That's what I would think, so hopefully Putin isn't completely insane. I know it can be beneficial for world leaders to seem irrational and unpredictable at times and that certainly helps when they're hoping we won't call their bluff, but then at some point you have to wonder if it's all a show or if they really have lost their minds. [It's probably a mix of both]

You don't get to accede every time on the other side, it reinforces the behavior and let's them keep asking for more.

Roughly, its a game, you choose one of three decisions, escalate, ignore, accommodate, then the other person does the same in response. Escalating enough times leads to mutual destruction at some random # of escalations. Accommodate means you give up to the other party. Ignore nothing happens.

You might try to escalate once or twice but you know youre going to lose. Accommodate you lose and the other party has no reason to stop taking. The only good path is ignore.

Aside from the obligatory "we don't know, fog of war, OPSEC, etc." answer, it has seemed to be reasonably accurate, or at least accurate enough for those of us watching at home.

Also, Danish goons in various discords are reporting that it was just announced that the Danish government is also sending a shipment of weapons to Ukraine.

To my knowledge, the list of countries known to have either already, or are currently in the process of, shipping weapons to Ukraine:

USA
UK
Poland
France
Netherlands
Germany
Greece
Finland
Sweden
Denmark

With Turkey being a question mark.

That map is telling the same story? Large pieces of eastern Ukraine look to be at imminent risk of being encircled by Russian troops, and Kyiv may be exposed on another on another front if that happens.

I am as happy as anyone else to see images of destroyed Russian equipment, but if these maps are accurate Ukraine is in a terrible spot just a few days into the invasion.

It can also mean that the Russians are overextending themselves. Pushing deep along just a few, narrow axes also means that they will be exposing themselves over wide, thin areas. From the first couple days' fighting, it didn't appear that they had been very successful in exploiting those breakouts or in tying down Ukrainian units to allow follow-on elements to keep streaming through. Opinion: this looks more like a move of desperation than anything.

I agree. We have no plans idea the level of control Russia has in those sectors, and they all seem to be pushing along a single azimuth directly towards Kiev. Seems like they're going to try and swamp the city, but I question how long they can supply their assault over distance and under attack from partisans.
