Kinda wish they'd put a Souls game on there. I had a bad experience with Demon Souls but I'm willing to give the series another whirl since it's been like... 11? Years.

I hate 30fps for like half an hour then I get used to it. I have experience from the world's greatest console, the Nintendo Switch

I don't really notice it too bad in most games. But Arceus did feel very janky for the first couple hours especially after playing a lot of Xbox.

Been playing Elden Ring on my series S on quality mode on an LG C1 (so VRR) and it's very playable imo at the 30-35 fps it gets. Performance mode is also fine but looked a little muddy so I went quality. Having a good time except for the fact I keep absolutely getting wrecked lol. First souls game over here. It is fun though and feels REALLY GOOD when I can actually kill a guy.

I kind of want MS to do an xbox vr headset but I’m kind of convinced that it would also be a dumb idea. They’ll let Sony smash themselves on that rock of consumer ambivalence. I have a HP windows VR headset and it’s cool but microsoft really abandoned its VR because the whole thing hasn’t been updated in forever.

tbh I don’t want them wasting any resources or focus on Vr, they’re so far behind at this stage and the stink of the Kinect poisoned the Xbox brand for a decade

Maybe hololens tho! Building minecraft castles on a coffee table does look kinda fun. Probably anything reasonable is a good decade or two out though.

I wrote a big screed/rant in the VR thread about Quest being the only practical road for Microsoft to support VR on the Xbox, being a near-perfect technical fit and mutually beneficial for both parties as their respective software libraries are largely complementary. Still, unlikely.

I ended up buying a Series X to upgrade from an X1X. Is there a clear best option right now for trade in of the old hardware, or is private sale on Craigslist (or whatever) the only real path?

I never really played the X360 Forza Horizon I had, and used a friend's FH3 disc to drive cars on my X and holy poo poo the unskippable cutscenes and please stop talking. It's very pretty though, even if it's just a bone game.
