Aren't the Israelis fairly involved in the UAV world? That might be a way for them to contribute to the party if they see fit after their citizen was killed. Also, CNN says the International Criminal Court is now investigating Russia for war crimes. e- https://twitter.com/USUNSpox/status/1498395166272634890 CBJSprague24 fucked around with this message at 22:02 on Feb 28, 2022 |

How long does it take to emplace / displace a Buk or any of those other systems larger than a SPAAG? Are the Russians just not setting them up because they keep getting told "pack up, we're moving again" or because they're just doing a series of short halts or something? Are they just lazy? I'm sure that they're not hearing from their buddies in neighboring units "hey, we just got hosed up, better set up your AA, bro." e: Don't actually answer this question. At this point, what is holding the Russians back from getting some fortifications up, get some AA running and establishing an FOB instead of just idling in vulnerable columns on exposed highways? Is the Ukrainian mud that horrible?

In OIF 1 we were eating MREs that had M&Ms with mid 1990s references on them. If you deep freeze everything they will last indefinitely. Once they thaw the shelf life starts.

It seems many of the guys riding in are barely out of basic and haven't really grasped that the paper they were pressured into signing during their exercise was a contract upgrading their conscription to an enlistment. It seems the reason some of these dudes are so casual about operations is that they aren't even really aware this isn't an exercise any more, they're fighting a for loving real war. It's like signing up for the National Guard and then one day you're told to roll across the Rio Grande and take Monterrey. Somewhere halfway between Laredo and Monterrey you realize you're actually invading because the Mexican army is shooting at your APC. Here is A. Vindman's tweet: https://twitter.com/AVindman/status/1498007949104533508 When I heard about this, I knew things were going pear shaped for the Russians. If true, this is massive.
