the boulder's great, but it doesn't have room for a double sleeved commander deck with tokens, and the prof seems pretty high on a compartment for dice/counters/a life tracker.

As long as it comes in different colors so I can mix and match depending on my decks mana colors I'm down.

I have a bunch of boulders filled with double sleeved cards and token. Fair point about the dice/storage compartment tho.

Oh I somehow missed that the turtle gained unblockable on the trigger. I know it's functionally hexproof too but that wouldn't have been inherently backbreaking without evasion. Yeah it's pretty dumb in that case. Still not going to be the guy calling for bans immediately.

I guess it depends on how many tokens you want to lug around, but I can easily fit a couple in each of my boulders with a double sleeved deck.

Where is the main place people go to discuss Standard format deck brewing? Years ago it used to be MTGSalvation. Seems pretty dead now unsurprisingly.

Cool, was just wondering if some other more static forum-like structure had replaced mtgsalvation. I wanted like, threads to read through, but I guess I'd have to settle for chat channels or megathreads. Anyways, I haven't done any real deckbuilding since Tarkir, only dropping by every few sets to play a pre-release or a draft. I bought a set box of Kamigawa cause it looked dope (and I just wanted the feeling of tearing open packs) and after sorting my cards I'm feeling inspired to build a deck again. Samurai remind me of playing Bant in Alara block and Ninjas are just cool. A little bummed to remember that MTG doesn't do blocks anymore, so we aren't going to see anymore Kamigawa stuff after this for a while.

If you want to see what people are actually playing, MTGGoldfish shows that. No idea how accurate it is though. You can at least see when the decks are from so you can kinda judge for yourself. The % of decks that include a card is kinda helpful to show variants of a decklist

Are you from some kind of Amish community that doesn't have any kind of advertising or self promotion? It's been 2 or 3 days since his box was announced and it's kind of the culmination of all the product reviews he has done over the years as well as the original topic of his videos at the channels inception. He should be excited and talking about it often and at length. Frankly though, I'm not a fan of the super slow roll out. Seeing the outside of the box without any details of the "super exclusive" features yesterday is just another layer of wet blanket over a product I want to be excited for despite not being the target audience whatsoever

Integrated ads are annoying and detrimental, and I seethe when I have to watch YouTube ads because we're watching on the smart tv. But I think people might forget that money is the biggest thing to directly influence your quality of life in America. Integrated ads work within reasonable constraints and I can absolutely understand an artist deciding to shill for 2 mins in a video if it's going to sell more boxes. Is there still an MTG eternal thread? Didn't see it in the first couple pages, but I guess it wasn't terribly active to begin with. With (maybe kinda sorta almost) in store play starting to come back again, I was thinking about masking up and heading out to some free modern events again. Picked up the new pieces for my current pet eternal decks of belcher and enchantress, but was trying to figure out if there were any new decks in the format. I haven't really played since late summer/mid fall last year, but it looks like modern is still pretty much just Lurrus piles and a couple 4c decks. Is that roughly correct? I was sort of hoping something would shake it up a little, since I was getting a little tired of every game starting fetch shock ragavan go, but I'm guessing we're still kinda in that place. At least Enchantress is pretty hilarious into midrange-y decks since you've got plenty of time to get the hard lock then win at your leisure
