I’ve always wondered, since hitting adulthood and learning that a lot of the cat language stuff is incorrect from personal observations of domestic cat interactions, if it just means that they feel they can relax around you and it doesn’t necessarily mean they love you. That’s still a very important thing for a cat since, even though they are murder machines, they are are also prey animals, so feeling they are safe when looking at you should still make you feel warm and fuzzy. The blinking also serves to defuse. Cats get uncomfortable if you stare at them; seems to be an aggression display. Mine definitely relax some when I blink a few times at them.

I have learned that cats will lie about things from her since working from home. She started singing her song, then jumped on the bed and started playing with what she had for me. When I got off my phone call and went to investigate, there was nothing there. She was just trying to entice me to come back to bed for cuddles.

I was wondering how this was filmed. At 0:43, if you can tear your eyes away from the gorgeous birds, you can see the shadow of a small cart / tractor. I completely missed that on the first loop
