Yeah, I honestly thought the two Netflix seasons were a little too polished in some ways.

I was always a little disappointed in the Netflix episodes. There was only a few I liked the rest were just passable.

So you know how the time travel vampire stuff felt like a totally different movie? That's where all the titty was.

this feels like one notch too low on that (as mentioned, the Max/Kinga lighting is *rough*), but the movie is perfectly goofy and pleasant, and the riffing was great.

This is my feeling as well. The Host segments looked fine, the Mad segments had some rough jankiness that very much reminds me of a Zoom call.

The backgrounds are a toss-up; I actually like the parts that look like papercraft, but the parts that looked like a 90s interactive game weren't to my taste.

Serious answer (per wikipedia):

Although then considered an adult film, Vampire and Sex is far from being a pornographic film because it only includes some scenes with integral, partial and transparent nudes of female vampires and Luisa.

In these scenes, naked actresses do not appear near El Santo, and the only "sexual" behaviour is one scene in which Dracula rubs his hand and face against the breasts of the woman he intends turn into a vampire. In spite of this, it is believed that El Santo made a deal with the director René Cardona so that this work would not come to light, and only distributed Santo en el tesoro de Drácula.

This might be a dumb question but if I missed the livestream but bought the season pass… can I watch the episode on demand? I can’t find it anywhere in the app/vhx site, just the 30 second trailer.

Edit: But they have specifically said you will be able to stream it anytime.

You’re supposed to be able to, but I can’t find any way to do it yet. They’re clearly still working out some kinks. I’m sure it’ll be up before too long.

I’m so glad it’s back. I generally liked the “low budget, but in a slightly different way than the old show” look.

It’s a subtle one, but I think my favorite riff was when Dracula is taking the main woman out of her room and Crow says in Dracula voice, “I hope you don’t mind we’re taking the bus.”

Seeing Jonah dress up as Mean Gene for a wrestling sketch isn’t shocking, but dressing up as AWA Mean Gene is a deeper cut than I expect, but I guess, Minnesota.

I had the same issue. Overall volume was quite low (watching on PC browser to TV, using TV speakers) and the mix of the riffing was much louder than the movie dialog.

The stream was definitely having sound issues (Joel was extremely quiet at first) and I heard them bump up the sound significantly at one point. They're working out the kinks and I expect the next stream will go much more smoothly.
