Imagine if Miz does end up in AEW, and makes tremendous improvements like Tay Conti did? He'd probably work best as a manager or mouthpiece for a stable or tag team, who only occasionally wrestles in multi-man matches, TBH.

Miz trying to un-learn the WWE style would be like one of us trying to un-learn how to breathe. It's too ingrained in him, he's basically the perfect WWE wrestler at this point. My wife watches Dancing with the Stars and even on that he was 100% acting like a WWE face - smiling all the time and just being happy to be there.

He was cutting a promo on a guy who couldn’t work, of course it was going nowhere. That said the dude clearly had more emotion and weight behind that promo than anything else he did in 20 years with the company. That’s not exactly his fault. In a good company they would take Miz’s ability on the mic and make it better.

I think the miz is one of several people in the wwe who could pull off matt cardona's current gimmick if they ever found themselves outside wwe and having to start working indies, but I don't think they're ever going to let him go and he feels like he'd retire if he ever got fired
