I mean they obviously do since it still exists as product after 40-ish years. About 35-ish years. I grew up in Smuckers Land, OH; just managed to get out of working in the jelly mines as a child. When I was in first grade in 1986-‘87, we all got to sample it before it went into retail. That was the last time I tried it. And if I remember correctly, one of the girls in my class said the jelly part burned

Man I remember being so excited to try the goober grape combo the first time I saw it as a kid, and not even making it through a single sandwich. I never knew what black magic they used to combine two very common tasty things into one and have it come out tasting like rear end.

Don't talk to me about fish pie, unless you're going full stargazy: (Actually pretty nice, if just a bit confronting. Also, as someone who ate a toasted herring-cheese-onion-mayo sandwich today, I would totally go the cod and grap pie)

Marshmallow fluff is basically spreadable meringue. As a jar of sugar, it's sort of astoundingly filling and voluminous compared to canned fruit jellies so fluffernutters usually clock in at less calories than a PB&J.

We discovered Bamba when they were put on mega sale and got like 10 bags of them for a couple bucks. They the texture of cheese puffs but made out of peanut, and also pretty low calorie...unlike cheese puffs they leave zero dust on your fingers SOMEHOW...it's like dark magic.

I always felt like those would just be too much sandwich. Like, just toast a couple slices of bread & cheese separately and use them for the bun and I'm 1000% on board.
