Tohru uses the word チート, " chiito", "cheat". It seems in Japanese it's mostly used in the context of video games. It's a little nonsensical when it's all translated in to English.

Japan does have a superstition that when you sneeze, it's because someone's talking about you somewhere.

Perhaps "final contest" was a bit too strong. The word Yoriko uses is 勝負, shoubu, and while there's definitely a sense of finality to it (it's often translated as "victory or defeat" or "do or die"), it can also just as easily mean "a game, a match, a bout". Another goon earlier suggested "ultimate", which I kinda like.

I think the subtext here is that after a successful live television appearance Enami would have been the undisputed king of television psychics and Yoriko would have finally realized her childhood dream of transforming Enami in to a successful spirit medium.

So neither of them really had the intention of stopping the grift gravy train after this TV appearance. It was just meant to be another big step in furthering their careers.

As for "I'll go out in strength", the literal Japanese translation was "I'll go WITH strength", but I had read ahead and kinda enjoyed the double meaning/dramatic irony* of "go out in strength", in the sense that he's going to meet a challenge in what he thinks will be his crowning achievement, but ultimately results in his downfall.

*maybe the correct word here is "foreshadowing"

Sorry for the confusion.

Edit: edit for further clarity.
