I'm guessing this is going to be asked in here from time to time, but does anyone have good recommendations for some good political/historical overviews on the conflict? Mostly looking for videos/documentaries I guess, but literature is also welcome. Or even well-structured lecture material. After reading some Finkelstein and various reports I'm depressingly familiar with the conduct of the Most Moral Army of the World, but what do people recommend as a solid base understanding of history and Israel's founding/colonisation? Have the recently declassified (?) documents about early atrocities led to any interesting new writing or are they just confirming everything non-Zionists have been saying anyway? Sorry if this is a bit vague, just looking for some solidly researched anchors to keep sane in a sea of uninformed but very confident takes.

I have a couple more that are still on my to read list but I can't really attest to if they'll fill your needs. I think most have audiobooks.
