The tattoo itself is fine (to my novice eyes, although I'm not crazy about the grains of sand as black dots), but why is it so FADED after six months?! I went back and looked at the Reddit thread, it was apparently done at Ageless Arts Tattoo in Atlanta.  I briefly skimmed the artist's IG page and they seem fine to me, so I have no idea what happened here. Sun exposure?

It isn't faded, look at the outline of the hourglass. That's still black(ish). The artist just used varying greys for absolutely everything else. I'm guessing it probably didn't look like faded butt when it was new and angry.
