Are Chelsea playing without supporters or sponsors or any other kind of sanction-related deprivation?

tickets were already sold before the sanctions presumably, they'll have to play behind closed doors at home if they progress

Why not just let the away team sell more tickets? Why punish the other clubs for being drawn against Chelsea?

I would assume the away team have to pay Chelsea for their ticket allocation which they are not allowed to do

It never occurred to me that it works that way, I figured since roughly half of the games are away the home team just allocates whatever % they're required to for the away team and the away side gets all the profits?

Unless they do some sort of cup pre-purchase scheme for season ticket holders, so *some* might be allowed to go, but they might decide to save money on security and other matchday staff and just refund those holders.

Chelsea don't do anything like that, Season ticket holders get first crack at cup tickets but only 1 day ahead of everyone else and per match.

So right now, 0 tickets for whatever the next CL match is have been sold. (Other than maybe sponsor allocations)

And yet it was Sevilla who kept going down with "cramp". Nothing more satisfying than stuffing it up a team who'd been playing for penalties from the moment we scored.

Well, apart from this:

Yer, they’d been playing for extra time, but Antonio broke down three or four promising attacks through sheer exhaustion towards the end, the ‘is this a body check on the byline or did he just slump into the player’ being a good example.

Can’t wait to see Skintiki Taka vs the West Ham way
