It's an 8mm stop-motion movie made by a teenager in 1979 using Star Wars action figures, and it's amazing. Threepio kicks an astounding amount of rear end, and easily defeats Vader. ROBOTICUM is the best Star Wars fan film in existence (the actual short starts at 1:15 - It opens with what I think is a voiceover of the filmmaker as an adult talking about the short over images of 70's sci-fi art).

The expressly pointless premise of this novel reminds me of the one about yoda trying to convince count dooku to be a jedi again. But on the other hand, can't wait to learn more about Ochi of Bestoon, the Sith assassin first introduced in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I still can't believe the ST as a whole is just a worse version of the EU books. When Disney bought Lucasfilm I never would have believed they'd gently caress it up this bad. I can't believe how nostalgic I am for that old garbage now.
