I’d say read the Japan is evil one but it goes off on some dumb tangent about Ryan’s stock portfolio and I got so bored I never picked it back up.

The only good thing to come out of that book was the sweet Stennis patch I got with it from a friend. Also, Hunt for the Red October. Connery doesn't even bother with Russian accent and he still pulls it off.

Bare minimum raise I would accept without hunting for another job immediately was 7.5% to keep up with inflation. The raise I wanted was a little over 11%. The raise I got offered is 8.3%. I have until Monday to counter but I’m going to counter by asking for 11%. Wish me luck.

Well poo poo. Taylor Hawkins passing was a surprise. I've been watching Grohl videos to get a boost of humanity and cool and had been gaining some knowledge and respect for Hawkins' story. Seemed like a dude who was making things better, loved his family and friends and getting himself better. I saw some of his videos from when he drummed for Alanis Morissette and was surprised how the dude never aged. Odd how all of the horrific poo poo in the world numbs me but the passing of a random dude hit me.
