This is from 10 pages ago, so I'm sorry. But I just saw it. And these pictures are indescribably awesome. Most ye olde photos show people looking solemn, and in stiff poses, (largely due to the time that they had to stay still). But this series of photos show a couple(?) who clearly enjoy each others company and are having fun. It is a beautiful glimpse that shows the past was not only stodgy dour people posed in their Sunday best, but also involved people in love being happy.

By the time regular people could get their photos taken the exposure time wasn't much longer than today's, it was entirely a cultural thing. Everybody was used to portraits being a big, serious event, so they posed like it was a painting to hang over the manor fireplace for generations to come

I shouldn't be surprised, but it's still strange to see how many places in Oslo just looked basically the same, and are immediately recognizable. Most of downtown is pretty old, but it's still a strange feeling to realize just how similar it is, I bet a bunch of the tram lines are identical, and as easy to navigate by. Roughly as many people just walking around with random cats, too.

Ftr moonmazed is correct here. Here's a good starter about how big cat interaction with humans is not good. It's not "cute" sure but it's important to remember they aren't just big house cats and need proper care and conservation and aren't just photo props. Remember to check for AZA accreditation when it comes to big cat facilities, as a lot of these cub petting schemes often involve private owners with no interest in overall conservation. Here is a lion that looks like a teddy bear.
