That sound has been building in popularity for a while now (Yena going full pop punk for example) but yeah, this song being so viral will definitely make it explode. I definitely don’t mind, it’s a nice balance to the edm techno heavy stuff that’s always so popular.

We've been moving in this direction over the past year anyway especially in the west. I forsee more pop punk, rock, and DRILL to come out of pop music this summer if not next year.

No joke, this is legitimately my fav song so far this year and they have so much confidence performing it elevates it more. Also still loving how they do all the ad-libs and harmonies live. The band went hard on this one too, they can sometimes be hit or miss with heavier songs (Ven Para arrangement and mixing was pretty weak).
