That is nice but I feel it would definitely benefit from a rescan, seems very underexposed especially in the snow

I really like this one, were you just up on a bridge taking this?

My legs were annihilated by sand flies to take this photo. Worth the effort, honestly.

yeah thats right im almost out unfortunately but its pretty remarkable how chunky that film can be

heres a crop from an underexposed shot at 100% i really enjoy the impressionistic quality of it though i dont think im personally deft enough to really make good use of that

Digital grain is ftw, back in 2012 or 2013 I was taking many photographs with a canon g11 and using only the blue channel, which has the least detail because of the bayer pattern.. Here's

I know this thread doesn't delve often into gear-chat, but does anyone here shoot landscapes on crop sensors or does everyone here use full frame?

I've done both, sensor size isn't that big of a deal. It's become less of a deal as sensor quality improves too.

OK. Cool. I just bought a Nikon D7500 and was hoping to take it hiking.

Landscapes are one of the less gear dependent types of photography as a lot of photos are taken on tripods so if the shutter speed needs to be a bit slower etc it is not a big deal. A crop body will be totally fine I used one for many years with good results.

The rush is on.
FWIW, I paid extra for FX so that I could buy cheap old AI-S primes and since I shoot landscapes I think that’s been an awesome decision. You can still do that with some crop sensors, but then you’re not getting anything at the wide end.

For like $500 I got:

* 20mm f/2.8
* 50mm f/1.8
* 105mm f/2.5
* 300mm f/4.5

Ultimately I did get a VR 70-300 just for the stabilization hand-held but otherwise FX prime supremacy.
