How all the celeb swag bags work is you have material goods the brand wants the celeb to use as free advertising (omg Nicki Minaj was seen jogging with her iPod) or it's some gimmick like the shady resort or life coach who can say "you know Lady Gaga is a client" It's stuff that costs the companies nothing but raises their clout with rubes. And it's all predatory poo poo that usually ends up in the trash or given away. Like Spielberg and Jay-Z know full drat well why they got an overpriced watch and a free week at Shady Shores Key West, and that's why their third cousins now have overpriced watches and are packing bags to go to some tiki bar tourist trap in Florida. The celebs aren't so much spoiled as everyone around them is gross and predatory. Like yeah, me, right now, I'd love to have a $25,000 watch. But if I was making Bradley Cooper money I'd definitely not be doing free advertising for a $90 watch that's sold for $25,000 because it's what celebs "choose to wear". Total bill: $800.04 for a "million dollar dress" and the manufacturer and celeb getting a zillion dollars worth of free press. It's scummy and predatory. Everything is gross all the time.
