There's really no reason to throw away a card with modern astro. Even the most suboptimal card set you can get should buff a dps more than astrodyne can provide for the caster.

I think you can get them again via enmity list targeting but this is a secret art on controllers that few seem to be aware of.

I picked Azeyma because “keeper of the sun and goddess of inquiry” sounded cool to me! Nowadays [end of ShB onward spoilers] I wonder how many people pick Azeyma just because of the possible/implied Azem connection. I’d guess the actual reason there’s so many Azeyma worshippers is that there’s tons of cat girls.

I think you just get their title or whatever, no sick-rear end Nophica or Halone art. The Lover seemed appropriate for me since I generally play support and wanted to go in healing, and at a glance she seemed like Mara from Elder Scrolls. Definitely seemed more fitting than The Destroyer or The Fury, but 8 years in and the healing seems to move to the latter.

I went with Azeyma for my catgirl because it made sense to me that a Seeker of the Sun would be devoted to/blessed by the goddess of the sun. I was heartbroken when I found out that the quest where you go pray at her monument in Eastern Thanalan was trimmed from the MSQ. I understand why it got cut, and the flow of the story is better for it, but it was still disappointing.

I think it's odd that there are still shrines to most of the 12 out there, but there's basically nothing to be done with them - not even a token visit quest. It's like some inherited baggage from 1.0 lore that they couldn't get rid of, but didn't want to use outside of a rare quest for some of them.

Sometimes things are just allowed to exist in the world. They remain as a silent nod to their role in the 1.0 lead up to Dalamud’s Fall. Those who know about them know what they represent and their history, everyone else probably doesn’t even notice them. No sense removing them and maybe one day they’ll be pertinent again. A dusty tool in the box for the writers to draw on if they ever need it.

It literally is, the last MSQ of 1.0 was you going on a pilgrimage to visit and pray to all of the shrines of the 12.

It seems that most, if not all, of the sidequests (Tataru, Role, Hildibrand, Omega) will come in the 6.1x patches. Apparently the MSQ is also longer than normal for a .1 update. The Omega sidequests are "actually quite packed," so that's something to look forward to. They're also showing off the Duty Support System, if you want to see gameplay of it.
