Taking a little out of context but Coach K in the postgame: 'I love the fact that they feel that bad' about players who feel bad about missing free throws and such. (free throws were pretty damned iffy on both sides, Manek almost got UNC out of the game before hitting that three)

There were no teams I could conceivably have cared about winning the title by the time we reached the Final Four (yes, even Villanova, who only look like underdogs by comparison to other three) so Duke losing to UNC was the best possible outcome. I am very, very happy this morning.  Dawn Staley is the GOAT and I'm so loving glad she's on our sideline. I honestly watched most of this game in shock because I've never seen UConn taken apart like that, and certainly not on that stage. I kept expecting The Big Run (and frankly, was worried we wouldn't be able to turn that back and beat them twice), but aside from a couple spurts here and there, it just never came. Beuckers got hers, but she was slow to get going, and we effectively took Williams and Fudd out of the game when they'd been going crazy all tournament. An absolute master class defensively and on the boards from South Carolina. I'm thrilled Aliyah Boston got redemption after missing that bunny against Stanford last year, and happy to be hanging another banner when COVID robbed us of a chance at one in 2020. Feels real good, man.
