As spectacle, Omos/Lashley was good in that Bobby fuckin Lashley was made to look tiny, which is bonkers. But yeah the match sucked and would’ve only been OK topping off at like three minutes

HM 23rd March AEW Dynamite CM Punk vs Dax Harwood HM 23rd March AEW Dynamite Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley vs Varsity Blondes (Brian Pillman Jr & Griff Garrison) This was so much loving fun. Basically a squash where they played with their food but they absolutely elevated the Blondes & let them get enough shine even while getting battered like a Mars bar in a Scottish chippy.

HM: Dangerous Tekkers vs. Kazuchika Okada & Toru Yano - NJPW Hyper Battle 4/4 What started as the main event of a standard Korakuen show got delightfully silly with the ropes being removed mid-match for an impromptu sumo battle between Yano and Taichi, which in turn lead to the perfect finish of Yano getting tossed in a submission hold and realizing there were no ropes to reach to break the hold!

HM: Cody vs Seth Rollins, WrestleMania 2/4/22 I haven't seen Night 2 yet but this was the only match that had me invested in near-falls and who was going to win. Cody kissing the WWE ring at the end was also laugh out loud funny.

HM 19th March Dragongate Glorious Gate 2022 Night 4 La Estrella & Takuma Fujiwara vs Z-Brats (Diamante & Shun Skywalker) Shun & Diamante already have terrific chemistry as a team, Diamante is the best at making La Estrella look good, & Fujiwara continues to make a frankly unimpeachable case for rookie of the year. HM 19th March Dragongate Glorious Gate 2022 Night 4 Gold Class (Kaito Ishida, Kota Minoura, Minourita & Naruki Doi) vs HIGH-END (Dragon Kid, Kagetora, Keisuke Okuda & YAMATO) Gold Class are already a lot of fun. YAMATO running around the arena chasing after Minourita may well get old but man, it's very enjoyable so far.

^^^Nth both of those, and add: Comedy MOTYC: Konomama 'Stalker' Ichikawa vs Susumu Yokosuka - Dragongate 4/3 Gate of Passion house show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdK9mxkcoPc Stalker's always fun, but this is some of the best slapstick I've seen from these guys in ages. Ichikawa does his usual match restarting shtick, then goads both of KneSuka and even the referee into beating his rear end. For his part, Susumu is also pretty great at comedy matches, and it's fun to see K-ness get involved before he retires later this week.
