The snorkels are my favorite because I always imagine the machine trying to drive through 1.5 feet of moving flood water and becoming debris.

Now that land is so expensive all of those big blocks of land have been subdivided into between 2 and 4+ houses so the road network has probably 1/2 to 1/4 of the number of streets that a 'normal' suburb would have, meaning that it's impossible to get anywhere without hitting a busy road. Also the train network may as well not exist and there's no metro or light rail or anything.
