I haven't played Forgotten World yet, but I'd say of the 2D games, Planet Robobot is the best. It managed to unseat Superstar for me. Star Allies is good, and worth playing with three friends, but it's like the New Super Mario games in that the single player suffers from being built around multiplayer.

My only issue with Forgotten World so far is that after Star Allies let you play as Literally Everybody, it's a little disappointing that you can only play as Kirby in Forgotten World. Even Waddle Dee is only playable for player two (as far as I am currently aware). It's still great, but...

Speaking of, if anyone’s tried co-op how does Bandanna Dee play in this game out of curiosity?

I'd love to play the full game but not if I can beat it in 3 hours or so. the main game is pretty easy but there are optional challenges and post-game stages that step it up a notch. never to point where you'll be getting stuck on a stage for an hour or anything like that but I did die a bunch of times to the post-game bosses. that's pretty much how kirby games are always designed

I'm excited for the next 3D Kirby where hopefully they'll bring back some of the cooler powers they left out like Suplex, Wing, Cowboy

Found out Gamestop has Star Allies on sale--digitally! I know nothing about the game other than you can play as different characters/turn enemies on your side. I'm not even done with Forgotten Land but I'd love more Kirby. Worth jumping on?

Yeah the base game is kind of lacking in level design due to being centered around the allies gimmick, and they didn't seem to know what to do with that. Not that many set pieces though there are a few that are pretty cool. The second campaign they added in an update later is pretty good though and has some teeth. Wild Mode in Forgotten Land isn't a hard mode, it's a normal mode, with Spring Breeze being the easy mode.

I feel like this loving "Save your crab friends" level in What the Golf is actually impossible. I can't find any way to do it, and watching walkthroughs on Youtube, all of them seem to be on the PC version where you can get a full powered arrow immediately. On the Switch you can't do that, you have to hold the button and let it build up, and it seems like that extra bit of time loss on every movement makes it so you can't beat the rising water. This feels like a massive fuckup on the devs' part.

Kirby & The Forgotten Land is my first big foray into Kirby, and I haven't yet finished it, but I'm glad I jumped on Kirby Star Allies. Even the intro made me smile: look at all the friends he can get!

I managed to do it with regular controls (because I did not know about the touchscreeen) but it loving sucked. There's no way they actually playtested the switch version to completion Shame, because there's so much that's great about it

I had no idea you could use the touchscreen either. I'll give it a shot later, but I might just give up on it since it's only for a crown. The game is incredibly fun, like it's 99% great, it's really just a handful of lovely challenges that make up that remaining 1%, and it's not like I have to get 100%.
